HomeMy WebLinkAbout0336_0011AN ORDINANCE LrNING TAXIS FOR 7H7 CITY ng GVj0RG7TOW1,,T, TFMS, F')R T I?T YEAR, j; 915 4 BIM IT ORDAI1TED BY TIMM CITY COUNCIL O 1F THTPI CITY O?`, TTORGRTn WN, TEM AS: Section 1: That to meet the current expenses of the City of Georgetown, Texas, and to carry on the City Government of said City for the year of 1915, there is here and now levied and shall, be collected an annual ad valorem tax of twenty-five cents on the $100.00 assessed valuation for the year of 1915, of all real, and personal property and estate in the City of Georgetown, Texas, not exempt from taxation by the Constitu- tion and Laws of the State of Texas, Section 2: Th-�.t to work, grade and improve the streets of the City of tiers rge town, TexR s, for the year of 1915, there is here and now levied and shall be collected an annual ad valor- em tax of fifteen cents on the $100.00 assessed valuation for the year of 1915, of all real and personal property and es. tate in the City of Georgretown,Texa.s, not exempt from taxa- tion by the Constitution and Laws of the State of Texas. Section 3: That for tme support and maintenance of the Public Free Schools in the City of Georgeto,vn,Texas, for the year of 1915, and as detenained according to law by an election here- tofore held in said City for said purpose,there is here and now levied and, shall be collected an annual ad valorem tax of forty cents on the $100.00 assessed valuation for the year of 1915, „of all real and personal property and estate in the City of `Jeorgetnwn, Texas, not exempt from taxation by the Constitution and Laws of ttie State of Texas,and the amount of taxes collected as provided for in this Section - shall con- stitute a separate fund and shall be used for no other pur- pose than as herein specified. Section 4: That to pa,7 the interest and create a sinking fund to meet the $8,000,00 in Bonds of this Ci ty,known as the "City of Georgetown Refunding School house Bonds" as evidenced by eight $1000.00 unpaid bonds, i ssued for the purpose of re- funding,cancelling and in lieu of certain bonds known as "Public School Building 73onds" as shown by ordinance of this City passed and approved on November 13th,1905, such ordinance being Sections 117 to 129 inclusive, of the Revised Civil. and Criminal Ordinances of the City of Georgetown, Texas, and as provided in avid or.rlinance there is here and now levied 0-
