Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas: Section 1: �._ That to meet the current expenses of the City of Georgetown,Texas, and to carry on the City Government of said City for the year of 1917, there is here and now levied and shall be collected an annual ad valorem tax of twenty-five cents of the $100.00 assessed valuation for the year 1917,of all real and personal property and estate in the City of Georgetown,Texas, not exempt from taxation by the constitu- tion and laws of the State of Texas. Section 2: That to work and grade and improve the streets of the said City of Georgetown,Texas, for the year 1917, there is here and now levied and shall be collected an annual ad valorem tax of fifteen cents on the $1000.00 assessed valua- tion for the year of 1917 of all real and personal property and estate in the said City of Georgetown,Texas, not exempt from taxation by the constitution and Laws of the State of Texas. Section 3: That for the support and maintenance of the Public Free Schools in the City of Georgetown, Texas, for the year 1917, and as determined according to the law by an el-ebtioni1 heretofore held in said city for said purpose, there is here and now levied and shall be collected an annual ad valorem tax of fifty cents on the $100:00 assessed valuation for the year 1917 of all real and personal property and estate in the city of Georgetown,Texas, not exempt from taxation by the Con- stitution and Laws of the state of Texas, and the amount of the taxes collected as nrovided for in this section shall constitute a separate fund and shall be used for no other purpose than as herein specified. Section 4: That to pay the interest and create a sinking fund to meet the $7,000.00 in bonds of the City known as "The City of Georgetown Refunding School House Bonds" as evidenced by eight ( 8) $1,000.00 unpaid bonds, i s sued for the purpose of refunding, cancelling and in lieu of certain fronds known as "Public School Building Bonds" as shown by ordinance of this City, liassed and approved on November 13th,1905, such ordinance being sections 117 to 129, inclusive, of the Revised Civil and Criminal Ordinances of the City of Georgetown,Texa$ and as approved in said ordinance there is here and now levied 71
