THAT Td1ERZAS, there has been no codification of the ordinances of this City
since the ,year 1907, and that since the said time many ordinances have been
duly passed and published and are all now valid laws of the said City, and
than by reason of the Iona period of time and the great nmber of ordinances
that have been passed since the said date, it is often difficult to quickly
and readily find some of the said ordinances and to readily make proof of the
publication thereat'; and that by r-a,son thereof the City caused the said valid
ordinances to be oollooted, and caused the material and valid portions thereof
to be compiled, and, omi t-+ine formal parts, the said ordinances were ooplad
and compiled and are set out in the 133 pages that are attached hereto, and it
is here declared that each and 411 portions of the said collected and compiled
ordirmnces, that is sat out ^ the said written pages that are attached hereto,
are valid and subsisting laws of this City, and that they and each portion of
them are reordained, so that said ordinances as set out in the attuoheP pales
may be easily found and proof of publication made; but that no ordinance not so
found, and that no ordinance or part of an ordinance that is not brought for-
ward shall be repealed herobyz
TMEFORZ., It to here and now ordained that the said 133 pages of
vwritinSa that is attached hereto, together with this ordinance as its ca,)tlon
shall and dies cnnatitute Talid and btnd1n,,, laws of this City, and are sere
and now ordained as such, and that the same shell be known and cited as "CGI,-
L=Tr4D ORMTNANC43", and that each and all sections, paragraphs, sentences, v orris,
provi si.ons and ,penalties of the wane are hereby decreed to be valid and binding,
as a part of the ordizAnces of this City, and that all of the said "COLLECTED
ORDTW.L*10E3 ", adopted, approved and ordained into law, as aforesaid, shall be full
and oonclusive proof of the validity thereof.
That this ordinance to intended as a re-enactment of such portions or
prior ordinances as arra found setout in said "CO14MTED ORDT11ANCE31t; but it is hot
intanded that it shhall repeal any portion of any valid ordinance, unless the same
he found to be in direct ccnfli.ot with said "COLIEC'M 0RDTNANC> S", and in the
event of any such oonfli.ct the said "CUiZOTED OADINANCSS", that are here being
adopted, shall prevail,
That the said fiCOLIMTM ORDINANCES" together with the penalties provided
therein shall be published by caption. That this pare thereof, adopting the 133
pages" that are attoohed hereto, shall be and constitute said *option, and said
caption shall be published in full*

oaptton thereto from and after the passage and publication hereof, shall be in
full force and ef?W-,

make goof of the publication of certain of the ordinances khat have horetof'or
been passed and published, and to snake proof of the law contained iv those that
cannot readily be found , creates an emergency making it necessary that the rules
requiring that an ordinance be read at three separate meetins 'before pa:ssafe, be

from and after its passage and publication.
