Articles 1, 110 111 and Sections to these articles are defined in the City
ordinance dated July 17, 1976 and amended April 10, 1.979 and February 10, 1331.
Article I - Name and purpose Airport Advisory Board
The Board shall make recommendations to the City Council
on construction, expansion, improvements, maintenance and operation of the
Airport.
Article 11 - Membership
Section 1
- Number of members - Board will be composed of five (5)
members.
Section 2
- Selection of Board - To be appointed by the Mayor, with
the advice and consent of the City Council.
Section 3.
- Term of office - Two (2) years
Section 4
- Tenure- Two (2) members of'the. first Advisory Board
shall be appointed to serve until the first regular
meeting after the annual municipal election in 1982,
and three (3) members shall be appointed to serve until
the first regular meeting after the annual municipal
election in 1983, so that thereafter the terms of three
(3) members shall expire in the odd numbered years,.
Section 5
- Compensation - Members of the Board shall serve without
compensation.
Article III -
Officers of the. Board
Section 1
- Titles of Elective Officers - Shall be Chairman, Vici):--
Chairman and Secretary.
Article IV -
Filling of vacancies.
Section 1
- If for any reason any member of the Board shall be dnabie
to act, then the Mayor, with advice and consent of the
City Council shall appoint a successor to fill they �jn-
expired term.
Article V -
Duties of Officers
Section 1
- The chairman presides at all meetings and performs all
other duties pertaining to the office. The Vice -Chairman
in the absence of the Chairman, performs all & t es of
that office and shall succeed in office of Chairman In
case of vacancy. The Secretary keeps records of prose d-
Ings of all meetings and has custody of ail recores and
papers of the Board.
Article VI -
Committees
Section 1
- Special Committees for the study and investigation of
special problems may be appointed by chairman; such
committees to serve until completion of the work for
which they are appointed.
