OF SPEED THEREIN, ON LOOP 418 IN THE�CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN;
DEFINING SPEEDING AND FIXING A PENALTY THEREFOR; DECLARING WHAT MAY BE A
SUFFICIENT COMPLAINT IN PROSECUTIONS HEREUNDER; WITH A SAVING CLAUSE REPEALING
CONFLICTING LAWS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN.
Section I
It is hereby determined upon the basis of an Engineering and Traffic investi-
gation that the prima facie maximum speed limit on those portions of Loop 418
routed in the city limits of Georgetown, is as hereinafter stated, which prima
facie maximum speed limit shall be effective at all times and signs will be
erected giving notice of the prima facie maximum speed limit so declared to -wit.
Speed Zone
Loop 418
For Southbound Traffic:
Beginning at the north city limit of Georgetown at milepoint 10.963 to
milepoint 11.526, a distance of 0.558 miles, a prima facie maximum speed
limit of 50 miles per hour.
From milepoint 11.526 to milepoint 11.999, a distance of 0.473 miles, a
prima facie maximum speed limit of 45 miles per hour.
School Speed Zone:
From milepoint 10.977 to milepoint 11.204, a distance of 0.227 miles, a
prima facie maximum speed limit of 35 miles per hour when flashing.
For Northbound Traffic:
Beginning at milepoint 11.999 to milepoint 11.526, a distance of 0.473
miles, a prima facie maximum speed limit of 45 miles per hour.
From milepoint 11.526 to the north city limit of Georgetown at milepoint
10.968, a distance of 0.558 miles, a prima facie maximum speed limit of
50 miles per hour.
School Speed Zone:
Beginning at milepoint 11.204 to milepoint 10.977, a distance of 0.227
miles, a prima facie maximum speed limit of 35 miles per hour when flashing.
Section II
That all of the streets of the city, and all portions of any such streets, are
hereby declared to be public streets and that the driving or operating of any
motor vehicle on or along any portion of any street of this city at a rate of
speed that is greater than the maximum rate of speed for said portion of said
street, as fixed by this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, which is
named "The Offense of Speeding," and that the said offense is punishable by
fine in any sum not to exceed Two Hundred dollars ($200.00). That the use of
