HomeMy WebLinkAbout0125_1985ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, ON THE 12TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1968, AMENDING A PART OF THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP OF THE ORIGINAL ORDINANCE: TO CHANGE THE PROPERTY OF SMITH BRANCH PARK SUBDIVISION IN THE WILLIAM ADDISON SURVEY ABSTRACT NO. 21 IN THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, FROM R -S RESIDENTIAL SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT TO RM- RESIDENTAIL MULTI -FAMILY DISTRICT WITH THE RESTRICTIONS ON USE AS APPEAR ON SUCH PLAT. WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council for the purpose of changing the zoning ordinance on the follow- ing described real estate: Block "F", Lots 1-25; Block "E", Lots 1-15; Block "G", Lots 13-24; Block "D", Lots 2-7; of Smith Branch Park Subdivision as recorded in Cabinet E, Slides 398-399 of the Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas. more fully described on attached Exhibit "A" which is a part hereof, and with the use limits that appear on the Plat. WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the Zoning Ordinance to the City Planning Commission for its recommendation and report; and, WHEREAS, the City Council, before adopting this amendment to the Zoning Ordinance, gave notice of such hearing by publishing same in a weekly newspaper in the City of Georgetown, Texas, which notice stated the'time and place of hearing and which time was not earlier than fifteen days from the first such publica- tion; and, WHEREAS, written notice as given to all the owners of the lots within 200 feet of the above described property as required by law; and, WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has recommended the changing of said Zoning Ordinance on the above described property from R -S Residential Single Family Distract to RM -2 Residential Multi -Family Distract and with the land use limits that appear on such Plat which said meeting was held on the 19th day of March, 1985. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, that the Zoning Ordinance, and the Zoning Map of the City of Georgetown, be amended so that the pro- perty described above shall be and the same is hereby removed from R -S Residential Single Family Distract to RM -2 Residential Multi-FamilyDastrict and with the land use limits that appear on such Plat. Read, passed and adopted this 26th day of March, 1985, on the first reading. Read, passed and adopted this 23rd day of April, 1985, on the second reading. (24444�.%t4= CARL J.
