The Committee's purpose is to recommend to the Council ordinances coordinating the use of all park and recreational land so that all users can be accommodated as efficiently and economically as possible, providing liaison between the City and related activities of such entities as GISO, Southwestern University, Williamson County, state agencies, and private organizations 2 The Cuiimittee shall tuuperate with the Planning Department in the study of and planning for present and future needs of the Parks and Recreation Program, and in development of, and timely updating of a master plan containing, but not limited to, the identification of spe- cific properties desirable for future acquisition 3. The Committee's recommendations to the Council shall cover, but not be limited to, policies regarding a Monitoring the maintenance and management of space, facilities, and equipment devoted to organized and unorganized recreation and sports. b Communicating the needs and suggestions of residents to the Council, and the Council's goals and policies regarding parks and recreation of Georgetown residents. 2
