November 21, 1966
The City Council met on the above date in called session, Mayor Jay C.
Sloan presiding. The following councilmen and officials were present:
William R. Eanes, Doyle Lyda, Edward Lee Evans, A. W. Hoyt, Jr., City
Attorney Joe B. McMaster, City Manager Charles D. Eyeington, City Sec-
retary Claud Eads and Chief of Police Jrank Masur, Jr. Also present
were: James A. Rehler and Marvin IIenderson.
Motion by Eanes and seconded by Lyda that City Council accept City
Planning Commission's recomendation to DISAPPROVE the following Zoning
Change Application. Motion,carried by unanimous vote.
To the City Council:
The undersigned property owners hereby make application to the City
Council of the City of Georgetown for change in the zoning designation of
the property described below from "II -1" One Family Dwelling District to
"M-1" Industrial and Manufacturing District for the purpose of being able -
to sell and convey this property for commercial or industrial uses.
Legal Description:
BEING 10 acres of th6 N. Porter Survey, Abstract No. 497, in Williamson
County, Texas, part of a tract described in a conveyance to Mrs. Irene
Williams Parker of Record in Vol. 410, page 25, Deed Records of Williamson
County, Texas, this tract is also part of the "SECOND TRACT" described
in a deed of record in Vol. 220, page 465, containing 935 acres conveyed
to Willie Williams.
BEGINNING at an iron pin set beside a fence corner post in the West ROW
line of Interstate Highway # 35 and in the East line of the Parker land, in
the West line of a tract owned by -Jay Wolf.
TIMCE S 26* 45'W 275 feet to a concrete ROW marker in the West line of
said Highway.
TlflNCE N 63* 15' W 909 feet to set an iron pin for the S.W. corner of
this tract.
TMNCE N 44* 43' E 796.7 feet'to set an iron pin in the fence line between
the Parker and Wolf lands.
TIIk�iCE S 27* 11' E $20.5 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.

Council suggested that City Manager Eyeington meet with the City
Planning Commission for purpose of locating sights for 'industrial and
commercial businesses.
Motion by. Evans and seconded by Eanes that above ordinance be

I.O.O.F. Mayor Sloan discussed at length with the council his progress in
reference to making a trade with I.O.O.F. Lodge and I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Andice Mayor read letter from T. K. Wood, District Engineer, in reference
Road to accidents on Andice overpass. Mr. Wood. stated that the highway
Overpass Dept. was -going to make efforts to correct situation at the overpass,
by installing a mirror and changing guard rails.
Sweet- Mayor Sloanreed letter from Phillip Mannella in reference to
briar water and sewer lines at Sweetbriar Nursing Home.
Lower Motion by Evans and seconded by Eanes that bid of $300.00 sub-
iliug mitted by Johnson Insulation Company for lowering ceiling in Council
room and Fireman's hall be accepted. &lotion carried by unanimous
vote.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO TILE ZONING ORDINANCE
Notice is hereby given to the public that a public hearing will be held
by the City Council of Georgetown, Texas, at the City IIall on November 21, 1966,
at 7:30 P.M at which hearing will be considered the recommendation of the Plann-
ing Commission of the City of Georgetown regarding an application to amend the
zoning ordinance of the City of Georgetown, as follows:
To Amend the Use Designation of the Premises, described as follows:
BEING 10 acres of the N. Porter Survey, abstract No. 497, in Williamson
County, Texas, part of a tract described in a conveyance to Mrs. Irene Williams
Parker, Recorded in Vol..410, page 25, Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas,
this tract is also part of the"SECOND TRACT" described in at deed of record in
Vol. 220, Page 465, containing 935 acres conveyed to Willie Williams:
