COUNTY OF WILLIAMSON
CITY OF GEORGETOWN RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, acting through its
Mayor, City Manager and others, have attempted to amicably
work out and resolve with Grady R. Watkins the need of said
City for a perpetual right-of-way and easement over and
across the land consisting of approximately
31.7 acres
near and located South and East of Southwestern University
known also as the "Hood Tract" including the entering into
a certain agreement bearing date of October 28, 1969; and,
WHEREAS, there is a necessity for such right-of-way
and easement for public use for the purpose of placing,
constructing, installing, maintaining, operating, repairing,
relocating and replacing a sewer line thereon; and,
WHEREAS, said City of Georgetown has heretofore
attempted to reach settlement with said Grady R. Watkins
of said City's claim arising out of said contract bearing
date of October 28, 1969 as aforesaid and has been unsuccessful:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AS FOLLOWS:
1) That the mayor, City manager, City attorney and
other council members as can attend to again meet with
Grady R. Watkins and his attorney for the purpose of working
out a settlement of the City of Georgetown's rights under
said contract;
2) That if such settlement cannot be resolved to the
satisfaction of said mayor, that he forthwith cause to be
prepared and filed appropriate papers or pleadings in a
court of competent jurisdiction containing allegations

as follows:
C2.1) For enforcement of said contract underdateofOctober28, 1969,
providing for the payment of10,000.00 cash to City of Georgetown by Grady R. Watkins
and the granting without charge by Grady R. Watkins to
said City the needed right-of-way and easement on, over and
across the aforesaid "Hood Tract'l;
f2.2) For alternative relief in Eminent Domain
for condemnation of a perpetual right-of-way and easementforthepurposeofplacing, constructing, installing,
maintaining, operatin g, repairing, relocating and replacingasewerlineandappurtenanceson, over and across the15t
wide strip described as follows:
Being a strip of land 15 feet in width and 1,590.5feetinlength
containing 0.548 acres of land out of theWilliamAddisonSurvey, Abstract 21 in Williamson County, Texas, said tract being more particularly describedbymetesandboundsasfollows:
Beginning at a point in the south boundary line oftheWatkinspropertyforthesouthwestcornerofthistract, from which point, the point of intersection oftheeastright-of-way line of Vine Street and thesouthright-of-way line of 19th Street and the southright-of-way line of 19th Street in the City of George- town, Texas, bears south 650 43' west a distance of2,168.80 feet;
Thence, north 29° 20' west along the western side ofthistractadistanceof807.98 feet to a corner;
Thence, north 140 44' east continuing along the westernsideofthistractadistanceof627.15 feet to a corner; Thence, north 410 49' east a distance of 171.79 feettothenorthwestcornerofthistractsetinafenceline;
Thence, south 210 04' east along fence a distance of16.85 feet to a corner;
Thence, south 410 49' west a distance of 160.40 feettoacorner;
Thence, south 140 04' west along the eastern side ofthistractadistanceof617.48 feet to a corner;
Thence, south 290 20' east along the eastern sideOfthistractadistanceof842.60 feet to the south- east corner of this tract set in a fence line;
Thence,
south 690 471 west a distance of 15.0 feet totheplaceofbeginningcontaining0.548 acres of landoutoftheWilliamAddisonSurvey, Abstract 21WilliamsonCounty, Texas. , in

CITY OF GEORGETOWN RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, acting through its Mayor, City Manager and
others, have attempted to amicably work out and resolve with Grady R. Watkins

WHEREAS, thereis a necessity for such right-of-way and easement for public

WHEREAS, said City of Georgetown has heretofore attempted to reach settle-
ment with said Grady R. Watkins of said City's claim arising out of said contract
bearing date of October 28, 1969 as aforesaid and has been unsuccessful:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, WILLIAMSON COUNTY,
TEXAS, AS FOLLOWS:

pose of working out a settlement of the City of Georgetown's rights under said
contract;

2.2) For alternative relief in Eminent Domain for comdemnation of
a perpetual right-of-way and easement for the purpose of placing, constructing,
installing, maintaining, operating, repairing, relocating and replacing a
sewer line and appurtenances on, over and across the 15' wide strip described
as follows:
Being a strip of land 15 feet in width and 1,590.5 feet in length
containing 0.548 acres of land out of the William Addison Survey, Abstract
21 in Williamson County, Texas, said tract being more particularly
described by metes and bounds as follows:
Beginning at a point in the south boundary line of the Watkins property
for the southwest corner of this tract, from which point, the point of
intersection of the east right-of-way line of Vine Street and the south
right-of-way line of 19th Street `and south right-of-way line of 19th
Street -,in the City of Georgetown, Texas, bears south 650 43' west a
distance of 2,168.80 feet;
Thence, north 290 20' west along the western side of this tract a distance
of 807.98 feet to a corner;

Thence, north 140 44' east continuing along the western side of this tract
a distance of 627.15 feet to a corner;
Thence, north 410 49' east a distance of 171.79 feet to the northwest
corner of this tract set in a fence line;
Thence, south 210 04' east along fence a distance of 16.85 feet to a corner;
Thence, south 410 49' west a distance of 160.40 feet to a corner;
Thence, south 140 04' west along the eastern side of this tract a dis-
tance of 617.48 feet to a corner;
Thence, south 290 20' east along the eastern side of this tract a dis-
tance of 842.60 feet to the southeast corner of this tract set in a

ginning containing 0.548 acres of land out of the William Addison Survey,

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE "ZONING ORDINANCE" PASSED AND ADOPTED
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, ON THE
12TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1968, AMENDING THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP,
AND MAKING THIS AMENDMENT A PART OF THE MAP OF THE ORIGINAL OR-.
ORDINANCE; TO CHANGE LOTS 4, 5 AND 6 IN BLOCK NO. 3 OF THE
COUNTRY CLUB ESTATES FROM RS, RESIDENTIAL SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT
TO C-1, LOCAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT, AS HEREINAFTER SET FORTH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, an application has been made to the City Council for the purpose of
changing the Zoning Ordinance on the following described real estate;
BEING lots 4, 5 and 6 in Block No. 3 of the Country Club Estates as made by
Ike 0. Williams of the Subdivision of 271 acres of land out of the N. Porter
Survey and being the same land conveyed by W. F. Joseph Et Al, to Myra Nunn dated
May 9, 1955, recorded in Vol. 322, Page 316, Deed Records, Williamson County,
Texas, in Georgetown, Texas.
AND WHEREAS, the Citi Council has submitted the proposed change in the Zoning
Ordinance to the City Planning Commission for its recommendation and report; and
WHIItEAS, the City Planning Commission has approved the changing of said
Zoning Ordinance on the above described property from "RS" Residential Single
Family District, to "C-1" local Commercial District which said meeting was held
on Wednesday, the 28th day of April, 1971; and
WHEREAS, the City Council before adopting this amendment to the Zoning Ordinance
gave notice of such hearing by publishing the same one time in the Williamson
County Sun, a weekly newspaper in the City of Georgetown, Texas, which said notice
