TO PROCEED WITH CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS
ON LAND LOCATED IN BLOCK 49, CITY OF
GEORGETOWN FOR PURPOSES OFCONSTRUCTINGWAREHOUSETHEREON
WHEREAS,
there is a public interest and need to construct
a warehouse in the City of Georgetown, Texas, located on the
property described as follows:
Being all that certain lot or parcel of land lyingandbeingsituatedintheCountyofWilliamson, StateofTexas,
in the City of Georgetown and being a partofBlockNo. 49,
as shown by the map of said City, anddescribedasfollows:
BEGINNING at the N W corner of said Block No. 49;
THENCE S. with the W. line of said Block, 120 feet;
THENCE E. 45 feet;
THENCE N. 120 feet to street;
THENCE W. 45 feet to the place of beginning, andbeingthesametractoflandconveyedinadeedfromBicenteR. Camacho, et ux, to Manuel Lozano, et ux, dated April 29, 1972, and recorded in Volume 548, Page 509, of theDeedRecordsofWilliamsonCounty, Texas, reference tosaidinstrumentbeingherebymadeforallpurposes; and,
WHEREAS,
the City Attorney has attempted to negotiate a sale
of said tract with the owners of said tract, Manuel Lozano and wife,
Virginia Lozano, but has been unable to get said parties to
negotiate:
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, that it is necessary and in
the public interest that said land be taken by condemnation through
the City's Power of Eminent Domain for such use and the City Manager,
City Attorney and other appropriate city officials are hereby
directed to proceed with the necessary legal steps to accomplish
such objectives
Read,
adopted and approved by the City Council at meeting -
held at the City Hall in the City of Georgetown this _-9.th day of
June, 1975.
