HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 09.08.1975 - Rescinding Utility RebateA RESOLUTION RESCINDING ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A UTILITY REBATE TO SUBDIVIDERS WITHIN THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN. WHEREAS, heretofore by Ordinance enacted on July 8, 19719 at first reading and July 26, 1971, on second reading, the City of Georgetown enacted an Ordinance providing for a utility rebate to subdividers within the City of Georgetown, Texas, a copy of r' said Ordinance is attached hereto and made a part heregf for all purposes as if copied herein at length; and WHEREAS, the Georgetown Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended that such Ordinance be rescinded and that the funds formerly used in payment of the obligations created by virtue of said Ordinance be paid into a permanent park fund for use by said City on its parks; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said Ordinance, copy of which is attached hereto as aforesaid is hereby RESCINDED; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that hereafter the funds that would have been payable under said Ordinance shall be paid into the City of Georgetown's Permanent park Lund for use by said City in connection with the acquisition, maintenance and construction of City parks.
