A RLSOLUTION DETERMINING THE METHOD OF
APPOINTING MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL TO THE JOINT
CITY, SCHOOL AND COUNTY LIAISON COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Georgetown concurs with the decision
to form a Joint Liaison Committee with the Georgetown Independent
School Board, The Williamson County Commissioners Court and the
City of Georgetown City Council, and:
WHEREAS, It is desirable for appointments to such Joint Liaison Committee
to be made according to the policies previously established by the
City council for appointments to all committees, boar' and commissions.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the appointments to such Joint Liaison Committee
shall be made as follows:
1. That two members of the council be appointed to two year term,
with one member being appointed from among those Council Members
elected in odd number years and one member from amoun those Council
Members elected in even number years.
2. That such appointments be made at the first Regular Council
Meeting following the City officer's Election.
3. That no member may serve more than two consecutive terms.
4. That of the first two appointed, the one elected in an odd
numbered year shall serve a two year term and the one elected in
an even numbered year shall begin with a one year term. Thereafter
all appointments shall be for two year terms.
5. Appointments shall be made on recommendation of Mayor.

CITY, SCHOOL AND COUNTY LIAISON COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Georgetown
concurs with the decision to form a Joint Liaison
Committee with The Georgetown Independent School
Board, The Williamson County Commissioners Court
and the City of Georgetown City Councils and;
