ENTER INTO A LONG TERM LEASE FOR THE
TERMINAL BUILDING AND THE FUEL STORAGE
DISPENSING FACILITY AT THE GEORGETOWN
MUNICIPAL AIRPORT, ACCEPTING THE ATTACHED
TERMS AND CONDITIONS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR APPLICANTS AND
THE AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD MAKE RECOMMENDA-
TIONTO CITY COUNCIL FOR SELECTION OF AN
APPLICANT.
WHEREAS, the contract entered into by and between the City of
Georgetown and Gene Turrell for the lease of certain property at the
Georgetown Municipal Airport Is on a month to month basis, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Turrell has accepted a position at another airport,
and
WHEREAS, a new lease agreement between the City of Georgetown and
a principal operator is required to assure proper supervision of opera-
tions, and
WHEREAS, the Georgetown Airport Advisory Board has submitted the
terms and conditions to be covered in the contract as set forth in
Attachment i, and
WHEREAS, the City Council gave consent to advertise for bids at
the J=14y
20, 1981 Council meeting, now
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED THAT the City Manager of the City of
Georgetown did advertise for competitive bids from prospective and
qualified persons interested in entering into a lease agreement, and
that the City Manager did refer such application to the Georgetown
Airport Advisory Board for their evaluation and recommendations to the
City Council for final selection and authority to enter into a contract.

ATTACHMENT
A. The long term lease on the terminal building and fuel storage and dispensing
facilities be for three (3) years.
B. Bids be accepted for the long term lease of the terminal building.
C. Contracts be written to insure that the airport will stay eligible for
federal monies.
D. The following items be required of the leasee to perform during the lease:
1. Maintain sufficient aviation fuel and oil to supply the normal demands
at the airport.
2. Maintain emergency starting equipment.
3. Maintain adequate fire extinguishers.
4. Maintain towing equipment.
5. Maintain equipment to inflate tires.
6. Insure that a responsible person remains at the airport during hours of
operation.
7. Hours of operation: 7:00 AM to 1 hour after official sunset.
8. Telephone number posted where people can call for service other than
hours set forth in Item 7.

11. Be familiar with operational policies and regulations established by
Federal, State and Local governments.
12. Conduct operations on the Airport without discrimination to the general
public.
13. Monitor flight

14. Provide a pilots lounge and flight planning room with publications
normally used during flight planning.
15. Provide clean rest rooms.
16. Perform routine maintenance on the terminal building.
17. Keep leased premises clean, neat and sanitary and adjacent lawns and
shrubs trimmed.
18. Pay all utilities (Electric, Water, Propane).
19. Maintain insurance with minimum of liability of $100,000 bodily injury,
personal injury or death to any one person up . $300,0ns for each

In addition to all the above, the Lessee may conduct the following commercial non -
aeronautical activities from the terminal building:
a. car rental
b. snack bar
c. sale of aeronautical publications and pilot aids.
