OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN TO EXECUTE
A LEASE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE
CITY WITH THUNDERBIRD FLYERS TO LEASE
A 100 FOOT BY 150 FOOT TRACT OF LAND
ON THE GEORGETOWN MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
UNDER TERMS AND CONDITIONS ATTACHED
BY THE GEORGETOWN MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
ADVISORY BOARD.
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas, is the Owner of the
Georgetown Municipal Airport, existing in the Corporate Limits of the
City of Georgetown, by virtue of an agreement with the United States
relative to development, operation and maintenance of the Georgetown
Airport dated the 9th day of February, 1942;
WHEREAS, the Georgetown Municipal Airport Board, in order to
more effectively use the Municipal Airport for airport purposes, d

recommend that the City of Georgetown enter into a Lease of a portion
of such Airport with Thunderbird Flyers for the construction of an
aircraft hangar for the General Aviation on the Airport Property, and
Thunderbird Flyers does desire to lease such property; and,
WHEREAS, the Georgetown Municipal Airport Advisory Board has
established Leasing Guidelines consistent with Federal, State and Local
laws; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, having made
themselves aware of attached terms and conditions,
do believe that it is
In the public interest to enter into said agreement in order to more
effectively use the Municipal Airport for Airport purposes;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Georgetown that the Mayor is authorized to execute said agreement under
the terms and conditions contained therein.
