WHEREAS, the Sun City “Thanks to the Troops” event was held on Thursday, June 26,
2014; and
WHEREAS, Anne Henry, a Sun City resident, organized this event in honor of our troops
from Fort Hood; and
WHEREAS, it was arranged that many Sun City residents loaned their golf clubs for the
event; and
WHEREAS, the troops had a wonderful day golfing and enjoying the sponsoring holes and
various tee boxes giving out goodies, including cookies, candy and soft drinks, run by various Sun
City neighborhoods and clubs; and
WHEREAS, Anne Henry worked tirelessly to organize this event and honor our Fort Hood
troops and veterans, with the help of generous folks in Sun City and Georgetown.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, DALE ROSS, MAYOR OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, do
hereby proclaim June 26, 2014, as
ANNE HENRY DAY
in Georgetown, Texas, in gratitude and recognition of her dedication
