RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE PROVISIONS OF THE 1978 COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS AND
AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER TO SUBMIT THE 1978
APPLICATION AND EXECUTE THE PROGRAM WHEN APPROVED.

WHEREAS, the Texas Community Development Act of 1975 (S. B. 734) enpowers
the City of Georgetown, Texas, to implement a Community Development Program upon
adoption by the governing body of an ordinance or resolution enacting some; and
WHEREAS, the City of Georgetown, Texas, has developed a Community Develop-
ment Program and Application for 1978 Hold -Harmless Funds after.
(a) identifying areas of the municipality in which predominately low and moderate
income persons dwell, and set out within the community development program areas
of the municipality where community development activities, building rehabilitation,
or the acquisition of privately owned buildings or land are proposed to be undertaken, and
(b) adopting by resolution a plan under which citizens may publicly comment on
the community development program, and
(c) conducting two (2) public hearings, the latest of which was more than 15 days
prior to this resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Commission, after due consideration and partici-
pation in public hearings as set forth in the Citizens Participation Plan, has recommended
to the City Council that the projects identified in the Community Development Program
for 1978 be accomplished with 1978 Community Development Block Grant Funds.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Georgetown, Texas does hereby adopt the provisions of the 1978 Community Development
Program, and authorizes the Mayor to submit the program application for further pro-
cessing.
