DI &SI I A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas, ("City") Authorizing the Mayor to Sign the Advance Funding Agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation ("TxDOT") Related to the Southeast Inner Loop/Bypass Feasibility Analysis. WHEREAS, the City has been working on the proposed Southeast Inner Loop/Bypass study as a priority project since the adoption of the City of Georgetown Overall Transportation Plan; and WHEREAS, As part of the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization's ("CAMPO') 2030 Transportation Plan, and Subsequent 2035 Transportation Plan, the Southeast Inner Loop widening project is listed as a regionally significant project; and WHEREAS, the Southeast Inner Loop/Bypass, between III 35 and County Road 110 ("Project Area"), is part of an identified "Growth Center" in the CAMPO 2035 Plan targeting higher density, mixed use activity centers consistent with the City's 2030 Comprehensive Plan, WHEREAS, the Project Area includes the CARTS (,eorgetown Transit Facility, the Southeast Development Zone, Mitchell Elementary School, future Lone Star Rail District Station, rail easement within the ROW held by Georgetown Railroad, and future Williamson County Emergency Operations Center, all requiring access and multi -modal connectivity. WHEREAS, CAMPO has programmed STP-MM: Travel Demand Management and Studies funding for the Southeast Inner Loop/Bypass Feasibility Analysis corridor study for Project Area; and WHEREAS, TxDOT administers CAMPO designated funds to local recipients through Advance Funding Agreements. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council further finds that the adoption of this resolution is not inconsistent or in conflict with any 2030 Comprehensive Plan Policies. The City Council of the City of Georgetown finds it to be in the best interest of the citizens of Georgetown to approve the Advance Funding Agreement for the Southeast Inner Loop/Bypass Project Area, to study the effects of widening and improving operations to a four -lane divided facility. SECTION 3. The mayor is herby authorized to sign this Resolution and the subject Advance Funding Agreement, and the City Secretary is authorized to attest thereto, on behalf of the City of Georgetown.
