Meeting Minutes
July 11, 2019
The Animal Shelter Advisory Board met Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 110 WL Walden Dr., Georgetown,
TX 78626.
Regular Session — To begin no earlier than 6:OOpm.
(This Regular Session may, at any time, be recessed to convene at Executive Session for any purpose
authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code 551).

Meeting called to order at 6:01 PM by Keith Fruge.
1. Discussion on updates to proposed facilities and IT projects —April Haughey, Animal Services
Manager (Board Liaison)
a. Cement in kennels completed, exterior painting in progress. Camera installation begun.
b. New volunteer software project starting soon.
2. Presentation of Animal Services and Animal Control Statistical and Analytical Report — April
Haughey, Animal Services Manager (Board Liaison)
a. 25 attended the spay/neuter event.
b. 169 intakes in June; highest this fiscal YTD, creating capacity issues.
c. ACO calls up 191 over LY. Humane education and neighborhood/park patrol are ACO
focus areas, especially Blue Hole and Bark Park.
d. Facebook PSA reach increased to over 9200; included living with coyotes, heartworm,
fireworks.
3. Presentation of upcoming adoption and community events for June 2019 — April Haughey,
Animal Services Manager (Board Liaison)
a. Camp Good Water cleaned the Adoption Trailer.
b. In addition to usual monthly schedule, one adoption event and a vaccine clinic are scheduled.
4. Review of current staffing levels — April Haughey, Animal Services Manager (Board Liaison)
a. Animal Care Supervisor position is posted and applications are coming in.
b. Chris Masters resigning to relocate; an ACO position will be posted.

a. As of the time of posting, no person had signed up to address the board.
With no further business or discussion, Laura Klein Plunkett made a motion to adjourn. Bart Bartleson
seconded.
Meeting adjourned at 7:20 P.M.
