Re: March 6 Board meeting, 12:00 noon @ the Library
Only Marcus Pritchett, Mary Beth Huba, Jean-Marie Mendez, Marjorie
Youngman, and Judy Duer were at the meeting. Therefore, as there
was not a quorum, we did not have a formal meeting. However, we
stay for about 20 minutes to discuss some of the items on the
agenda.
First, regarding the courtyard landscaping, we have received a bid
from Clear Springs and Native Tree Farm, and are still waiting for
a bid from McIntyre's. So far Clear Springs appears to be the low
bid, and also has been used by the City for other projects. We
already have $700 pledged as a donation for the landscaping
project, and the balance may be low enough to come from our
savings account. However, if not, funds for this project will
have to be withheld from the first CD which comes due. It was
also noted that we need to keep the landscaping simple, as the
City will only do the basic maintenance.
Regarding the CD's, Marcus informed us that one CD isdue April 4.
He will have information on available rates at the next Board
meeting, and we should be ready to vote on where to invest the
funds.

The evaluation of the Library Director (Judy Duer) was distributed
to each member present, and is attached to this memo. We should
be ready to discuss it at the next meeting, and if approved, a
copy should be sent to Hartley Sappington. It was noted that one
additional Director (M.Youngman) sent her evaluation in after the
deadline, and therefoVe it is not reflected in this evaluation.
A City employee will probably be at the next meeting to make a
presentation to us regarding a waiver of card fees for
non-resident city employees.
The needlepoint was on display, and will be officially presented
to us at the next meeting.
The next meeting is April 3.
