Members present: Nancy Benold, Haney Snead, iJarcus Pritchett,
Marjorie Youngman, Linda Davis, Judy Duer
Old Business:
Minutes approved, with the dddition of Linda Davis present
at Sept. meeting.
Automation - Judy reported on suatus of computer contract.
Final version of contract is prepared and will
be presented to City Council Oct. 11. All council
members have copies and Judy may meet them before
the actual council meeting to answer questions.
Computer manuals arax have arrived and the computer
system should be installedxaJamxit within 90 days
after the contract is signed. Bibliofile has
arrived. Discussed how to handle labeling of books
once the system is operational. Some volunteer
help may be solicited, but conversion may still
take 6 months.
IRS has supplied us with a new non-profit tax certificate.
Discussed broken windows and problem of weed eaters. Marcus
suggested using a product called Grass Be Gone.
`;�Je talked about obtaining information about this
or other product's environmental safety.
New Business
Judy passed around a letter of complaint on library noise.
Liscussed ongoing after -school noise problem.
Library staff members will try 14 collectively to
help keep noise levels down. Judy presented written
code of conduct. Motion to accept this code passed
unanirnously.

we have choice of picking up the tab from library
funds or soliciting a new donor. kiith computer
ex;Denses uncertain this first year Board agreed
we should conserve funds. Judy will send a letter
to local ban'�s and other large k;usinesses to see
if a sponsor can be found.
