Regular Session — To begin no earlier than 6:00pm.
(This Regular Session may, at any time, be recessed to convene at Executive Session for any purpose authorized
by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code 551).

1. Presentation of operational impacts due to COVID-19—

2. Presentation of Animal Services statistics for April and May 2020 p y , —

a. 231 total intakes for April and May but adoptions proceeded despite canceled adoption events and
the need for appointments. 22 animals left in shelter at end of May.
b. Kitten season brought an influx of sick kittens, which increased the euthanasia rate.
c. R.T.O percentages for April and May were the fourth and lfifth highest to date and overall length of
stay decreased.
d. The shelter is using Hootsuite to boost social media presence and utilize advance scheduling
capability. Facebook reach increased over 400% and Instagram impressions increased significantly.
3. Presentation of facility project planning —April Haughey, Animal Services Manager (Board Liaison)
a. April distributed a list of planned projects and discussed options and costs with the board.
4. Presentation of midyear budget special revenue fund amendment request — April Haughey, Animal

a. April distributed a list of proposed expenditures from the special revenue fund for 2020-2021 for
discussion.
5. Presentation of FY 2020-2021 budget requests — April Haughey, Animal Services Manager (Board
Liaison)
a. April is looking at a creative way to fund the hiring of apart -time veterinarian.
b. Shelter awning replacement will be incorporated into th� City's program, which will ensure regular
inspection, maintenance and scheduled replacement. j
c. The shelter is moving forward with the plan to remove Animal Services fees from the City
Ordinances and update them to be more in line with oth r communities.
6. Consideration and possible action to approve minutes from P4arch 2020 — April Haughey, Animal
Services Manager (Board Liaison)
a. Motion to approve minutes, Bart Bartleson. Seconded, Ned Atkins. Motion approved.
With no further business or discussion, Ned Atkins made a motion to adjourn. Laura Klein Plunkett seconded.
