RE: Presentation at COA

COA Presentation. pdf
Hello Ms. Linda,
Thank you for very much for the compliments, I was definitely nervous but it was an easy-going crowd

Attached is a PDF of my presentation. I will discuss with Chief Sullivan the reporting that was done prior
to my attendance at these Commission Meetings to get some ideas for what was being previously
reported. However, this might be a good topic of conversation at the next Commission meeting as well,
since there are many new members with new ideas and interests — what would the Commission like
reported? What data are they specifically interested in? I'd rather the Commission drive the majority of
my reporting than deciding for them what I think is important.
Let me know your thoughts!

Subject: Presentation at COA
Jenna,
Thank you so much for your time and efforts spent on your presentation last evening. So
informative. You presented well. Sorry you were not feeling totally well.
Would you and John be in agreement that you could send me you power point presentation
information, and in turn, I could forward to the Commission? There was so much valuable information
that we could not write fast enough.
I am going to go back over my minutes and pick-up on the few points that the Commission would like to
know about for discussion at a future date upon your return. Previously, John would give a quarterly
report, and the Commission really appreciated John sharing. Then all changed for everyone and we got
out of those reports. So maybe ever so often we will get back to your helping us know more about the
statistics.
Maybe there could be an informative discussion regarding all the programs that the fire department and
EMT's have incorporated over the past few years. I remember when COA began and it was in the
second year that John just talked about the various program they were incorporating, like the Knox Box
and others, as well as when they enter a home on a call, what they observe around the house and then
when appropriate, how to help the resident become aware and make better.
The two of you talk and please plan to give presentations, maybe every quarter?
Let me know about my receiving a copy of your presentation. Whatever you decide will be fine.
