ANNEXATION OR CITY LIMITS EXTENSION PETITION
TO THE MAYOR AND GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY_OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS:
The undersigned owners of the hereinafter described tract of land, which is vacant and
without residents, or on which less than three (3) qualified voters reside, hereby petition your
Honorable Body to extend the present city limits so as to include as a part of the City of
Georgetown, Texas, the following described territory, to -wit:

RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE, TIME, AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR
TO PUBLISH OR CAUSE TO BE PUBLISHED NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Georgetown has, at its meeting on this
day held, considered the property and the advisability of institiuting annexation proceedings
relative to a tract of land hereinafter mentioned; and
WHEREAS, a petition for annexation has been duly filed by all of the owners of
said tract of land; and
WHEREAS, Article 970a of Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes prescribed procedures to be
followed regarding the publication of notice, scheduling of hearing and other such matters;
THEREFORE be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Georgetown that on
the 11th day of September, 1979, at 6:45 o'clock in the City Council Chamber of City
Hall of the City of Georgetown, Texas, the City Council will hold a public hearing, giving
all interested persons the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the
City of Georgetown, Texas, of the following described property, to -wit:
WILLIAMS ADDITION, UNIT 6, a subdivision in Williamson County, Texas,
according to the mpa or plat thereof of record in Vol. Page , Plat Records, Williamson
County, Texas
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of Georgetown is hereby
authorized and directed to acuse notice of such public hearing to be published once
in a newspaper having general circulationin the City, and in the above described territory
note more than twenty (20) days, nor less than ten (10) days prior to the date of said
public hearing, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act (Chapter 160, Acts
of the 58th Legislature, Regular Session, 1963; compiled as 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil
Statutes) .
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 14th day of August 1979 at a meeting of the
City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas.
