FOR ISSUANCE OF BUILDING PERMITS
WITHING THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF GEORGETOWN UNTIL MARCH 1,
1981
WHEREAS, heretofore the City Council, City of Georgetown, appointed a Master
Planning Committee to study such matters as zoning, projected growth patterns, and
other planning data and to render to the City Council of the City of Georgetown a master
plan for utilization by the Planning and Zoning Commission and the City Council of the
City of Georgetown in the future; and
WHEREAS, said Committee has begun its work and is in progress at the present
time but is yet unfinished with such project; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to preserve the status quo while said committee is at
work on such master plan so that building permits will not be issued authorizing the
construction of structures for uses that may be incompatible with such master plan:
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Georgetown that
from the effective date of this resolution until March 1, 1981, the present procedure fol-
lowed in considering and issuing building permits for construction within the corporate
limits of the City of Georgetown which are under study for zoning changes shall be and is
hereby altered and amended to include participation in such procedure by said Master
Planning Committee, and following the passage of this resolution, upon the filling of an
application for a building permit in said areas, said Master Planning Committee shall
receive notice thereof prior to the issuance of any building permits and shall be advised
with and conferred with so that there may be cooperation and coordination with such
committee during such interim period concerning the issuance of building permits, for
the purpose of maintaining the status Nqu°and to avoid the sthility of the 'ofuthe Master
