The City of Georgetown Civil Service Commission meet on December 29, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.
Teleconference.
In attendance were: Commissioners Gordan Pierce, Luis Zamot & John Philpott; Tadd Phillips, Mike
Watson, Wayne Nero, Cory Tchida and multiple Police Personnel
Call to Order at 2:00 PM
Regular Session
(This Regular session may, at any time, be recessed to convene an Executive Session for any purpose
authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code 551).
A. Consideration and possible approval of minutes from December 14th, 2020 meeting.
a. Motion to approve by Commissioner Gordon Pierce, 2nd Commissioner Luis Zamot, 3-0
B. Discussion and possible action on submitted Police Sergeant Promotional Examination Appeal.
a. Appeal #30 Sustain Key – 3-0
b. Appeal #71 Sustain Key – 3-0
C. Update to Commission related to Civil Service items by Civil Service Director.
a. Tadd Phillips discussed the Police Sergeant Assessment dates with the commissioners
b. Let Commissioner Luis Zamot know that he had to resubmit his application to be reappointed
for his second term on Civil Service Commission
c. Discussed that the next meeting the Commissioners would need to select the Chair and Vice
Chair for the Civil Service Commission
d. Discussion about future Civil Service Commission meetings and when they will be held
D. Confirmed next commission meeting.
