SPECIAL CALLED BOARD MEETING, JULY 22, 1991
MINUTES
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. by Chairman Bill
Lipscomb. Other members, staff and guests present were Ken
McCalla, Joan King, Eugenia Harrell, Skip Morse, Ken Williams,
Sharon Larson, Liz Taylor, Pam Coots - Ramada Inn.
Minutes from July 8 meeting were waived since this is special
called meeting.
Discussion on Ends & Means statements:
Motion to approve Ends statements as printed and amended in
2nd draft, dated 7/22/91 -- motion from Morse, second from
Harrell, motion carried.
Means:
Concern over spending $60,000 on Grace Church -- will deplete
reserve fund too rapidly. Offer to spend no more than $15, 000
on Church project.
Prioritized Means statements which affect new projects for
91/92 fiscal year -- made minor changes.
Consensus agreement to maintain current Means activities.
King made motion to convey to City Manager that Board
recommends spending no more than $15,000 of hotel/motel monies
on relocation project for Grace Church - Harrell seconded,
motion carried unanimously.
Taylor gave Director's Report.
Next Meeting: Wednesday, August 7.
Discussion on reserve fund, current status, possibly
establishing floor.
Amount of $ needed in actual revenues & interest to maintain
comparable operating budget.
Meeting adjourned 9:15 p.m.
