Regular Session — To begin no earlier than 6:00 pm. (This Regular Session may, at any time, be recessed to convene at Executive Session for any purpose authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code 551). The City of Georgetown is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Members Present: Ned Atkins, Louise Epstein, Laura Klein Plunkett, Amanda Parr, Melissa Sheldon, Sarah Vigil Members Via Zoom: Bill Gregory Absent: April Haughey Staff present: Jack Daly Meeting called to order at 6:01 PM by Melissa Sheldon I. Consideration and possible action to approve minutes from December 2021— Melissa Sheldon, Board Chair a. Board members signified that they had read the minutes and had no corrections. Motion to approve the minutes for December as presented, Ned Atkins. Seconded, Louise Epstein. Motion passed unanimously. 2. Presentation of Animal Services Statistics for December 2021 and January 2022 — Melissa Sheldon, Board Chair a. Melissa reviewed statistics for December and January and highlighted strong adoption percentages. b. The shelter is preparing for kitten season by identifying and implementing ways to increase cat housing space. c. Length of stay is trending higher than last year. d. There will be a cat S/N clinic in February with a limit of two cats per household. 3. Presentation of Special Revenue Fund and Friends of the Georgetown Animal Shelter Budget and Spending — Melissa Sheldon, Board Chair a. Melissa presented the Board with an overview of the Animal Services Special Revenue Fund bal- ance and the expected expenses for the fiscal year, followed by an explanation of the current bal- ances in the FOGAS accounts. 4. Discussion on how to support the Georgetown Animal Shelter — Melissa Sheldon, Board Chair a. Melissa explained how FOGAS has financially supported shelter needs, and she and Jack explained that the public does make donations to the shelter without an active solicitation effort in place. FO- GAS as a 501(c)(3) was established to raise funds to supporting shelter needs. More support of FO- GAS through memberships and donations should be encouraged. Social media and existing City communication channels could be further leveraged to inform the public of shelter needs. 5. Review and discuss next steps to proposed ordinance changes — Melissa Sheldon, Board Chair a. The Board reviewed and discussed the draft ordinances and recommended a few minor changes. The ordinances will be presented to Council on April 12. 6. Review and discuss animal impound fees — Melissa Sheldon, Board Chair a. The Board reviewed and discussed the proposed impound fees and the "fix it or ticket" spay/neuter proposal. Thus far, there have been two second impounds this fiscal year. The Board agreed that the impound fees as presented were acceptable. 7. With no further business or discussion, Laura Klein Plunkett made a motion to adjourn.
