RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS CONDITIONALLY AUTHORIZING THE
RELEASE AND ABANDONMENT OF AN ELECTRC EASEMENT
DEDICATED TO THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN BY THE PLAT
RECORDED IN DOCUMENT NO. 2021172589 OF THE OFFICIAL
PUBLIC RECORDS OF WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, in 2021, Costco Wholesale Corporation, a Washington corporation
("Owner"), dedicated to the City of Georgetown an Electric easement across a tract of land in
the David Wright Survey, Abstract No. 13 owned by Owner (the "Property"), for the purpose
of facilitating the extension of an electric line to service the property; said easement being
dedicated by the subdivision plat recorded in Document No. 2021172589 of the Official
Public Records of Williamson County, Texas (the "Easement"); and,
WHEREAS, Owner wishes to develop the Property, but the Easement is impeding the
development of the Property; and,
WHEREAS, the abandonment of the Easement, identified and described as a portion of
Lot 1, Block C in the metes and bounds in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein
(the "Easement to be Abandoned"), would facilitate the development of the Property; and,
WHEREAS, Owner will grant the City a replacement electric line easement to meet
the City's requirements (the "Future EE"), which will cover the City's replacement electric
facilities, generally in the location identified as a portion of Lot 1, Block C on Exhibit "A";
and,
WHEREAS, upon considering the request for release and abandonment of the
Easement to be Abandoned, and additional information pertaining to the request, the City
Council now finds that upon conveyance of the Future EE and the City's acceptance of the
replacement facilities installed therein, a public need for the Easement to be Abandoned will
no longer exist, and therefore the Easement to be Abandoned may be abandoned and released
to Owner or a successor -in -interest to Owner upon satisfaction of these conditions; and
WHEREAS, nothing herein shall operate to release the remainder portion of the
Easement or any other easement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are
hereby found and declared to be true and correct and are incorporated by reference herein and
expressly made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim.
SECTION 2. Upon (1) the conveyance of a replacement electric easement in a form
acceptable to the City Attorney and in a location generally as shown as a portion of Lot 1,
Block C on Exhibit "A", and (2) the acceptance by the City of the replacement electric
facilities, the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute a Quitclaim Deed in substantially the
same form attached hereto as Exhibit " B" and any other conveyance document(s) necessary to
complete the release and abandonment of the Portion to be Abandoned, and the City Secretary
is hereby authorized to attest thereto on behalf of the City of Georgetown.
SECTION 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to sign this Resolution and the City
Secretary to attest. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon adoption and
execution by the Mayor.

receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged.
PROPERTY:
BEING, 0.065 acre of land out of the David Wright Survey, Abstract No. 13,
situated in the city of Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, being that
electric easement dedicated by the plat of record in Document No.
2021172589 of the Official Public Records of Williamson County, Texas; said
0.065-acre tract being more particularly described by metes and bounds in
Exhibit A and by sketch in Exhibit B, each attached hereto and by this
reference incorporated herein (the "Property').
For the consideration, GRANTOR quitclaims to GRANTEE all of GRANTOR'S
right, title, and interest in and to the above described Property, to have and to hold it to
GRANTEE, GRANTEE'S successors and assigns, forever. Neither GRANTOR, nor
GRANTOR'S successors and assigns, shall have, claim or demand any right or title to the
Property or any part of it.

BEING a tract of land situated in the DAVID WRIGHT SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 13, in the City of Georgetown,
Williamson County, Texas, and being a portion of Lot 1, Block C, Costco Georgetown Addition, an addition to the City of
Georgetown, Williamson County, Texas, according to the Plat thereof recorded in County Clerk's Instrument No.
2021172589, Official Public Records, Williamson County, Texas, being all of a 10-foot Georgetown Electric Easement
along the Southeast portion of said Lot 1, Block C, and being more particularly described as follows:
COMMENCING at a 1/2-inch iron rod with a red plastic cap stamped "W.A.I. 5714" found for the most Easterly Northeast
corner of said Lot 1, Block C, on the West right-of-way of Interstate Highway 35, a variable width right-of-way, said point
being the beginning of a curve to the right having a radius of 11.409.20 feet, a central angle of 01 degrees 59 minutes 20
seconds, a chord bearing of South 25 degrees 44 minutes 31 seconds West, and a chord length of 396.02 feet;
THENCE along the Southeast line of said Lot 1, Block C, the East right-of-way of said Interstate Highway 35, and said
curve to the right, an arc distance of 396.04 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING, said point being the beginning of a curve
to the right having a radius of 11,409.20 feet, a central angle of 00 degrees 01 minutes 38 seconds, a chord bearing of
South 26 degrees 45 minutes 00 seconds West, and a chord length of 5.41 feet;
THENCE continuing along the Southeast line of said Lot 1, Block C, the East right-of-way of said Interstate Highway 35,
and said curve to the right, an arc distance of 5.41 feet to a concrete monument found for corner on the Northwest
right-of-way of said Interstate Highway 35, and the Southeast line of said Lot 1, Block C, said point being the beginning of
a curve to the right having a radius of 1,095.92 feet, a central angle of 00 degrees 55 minutes 35 seconds, a chord
bearing of South 27 degrees 06 minutes 57 seconds West, and a chord length of 17.72 feet;
THENCE along the Northwest right-of-way of said Interstate Highway 35 and the Southeast line of said Lot 1, Block C, an
arc distance of 17.72 feet to a point for corner, said point being 423.37 feet from a concrete monument found for corner
along the Northwest right-of-way of said Interstate Highway 35 and the Southeast line of said Lot 1, Block C;
THENCE departing the Northwest right-of-way of said Interstate Highway 35 and the Southeast line of said Lot 1, Block
C, the following courses and distances:
North 01 degrees 24 minutes 55 seconds East, a distance of 64.26 feet to a point for corner;
North 22 degrees 49 minutes 15 seconds West, a distance of 167.48 feet to a point for corner;
North 66 degrees 48 minutes 05 seconds West, a distance of 12.75 feet to a point for corner;
South 68 degrees 11 minutes 56 seconds West, a distance of 10.67 feet to a point for corner;
South 21 degrees 48 minutes 03 seconds East, a distance of 3.97 feet to a point for corner;
South 68 degrees 11 minutes 57 seconds West, a distance of 20.00 feet to a point for corner;
North 21 minutes 48 seconds 03 seconds West, a distance of 14.00 feet to a point for corner;
North 68 degrees 11 minutes 56 seconds East, a distance of 34.81 feet to a point for corner;
South 66 degrees 48 minutes 05 seconds East, a distance of 20.93 feet to a point for corner;
South 22 degrees 49 minutes 15 seconds East, a distance of 173.67 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE South 01 degrees 24 minutes 55 seconds West, continuing over and across said Lot 1, Block C, a distance of
45.55 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
CONTAINING within these metes and bounds, 2,831 square feet or 0.065 acres of land, more or less.
Bearings shown hereon are based upon an on -the -ground Survey performed in the field on the 18th day of January,
2019, utilizing a G.P.S. bearing related to the Texas Coordinate System, North Texas Centrat Zone (4202), NAD 83, grid
values from the City of Georgetown GPS Static Survey, Monument No- GT14 and Monument No. GT13.
