The City of Georgetown Civil Service Commission met on April 12t'', 2022, at 8:30 a.m. at Georgetown
City Hall — Large Conference Room — 808 Martin Luther King Jr. St. Georgetown, TX 78626
In attendance were; Commissioners Gordon Pierce, Luis Zamot, & John Philpott; Tadd Phillips, John
Sullivan, and Robyn Iverson
Call to Order at 8:30 am
Regular Session
(This Regular session may, at any time, be recessed to convene an Executive Session for any purpose
authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code 551).
A. Consideration and possible approval of minutes from March 11, 2022
a. Motion to approve by Commissioner Luis Zamot, 2"d Commissioner John Philpott,
passed 3-0
B. Consideration and possible action to certify the eligibility list from the Police Officer entry
examination
a. Discussed details and this recruitment process
b. Clarified that the request from the Chief is a list for a duration of 12 months giving
preference to TCOLE certified candidates
c. Motion to approve by Commissioner Gordon Pierce, 2"d Commissioner Luis Zamot,'
passed 3-0
C. Update to Commission related to Civil Service items by Civil Service Director
a. Discussion on upcoming promotional exam and assessment center for the Fire
Department
b. Discussion on upcoming appeals process for the Police Department's promotional exam
c. Discussion on Police Departments hiring process for police officer's
d. Discussion on rescheduling May 9`b meeting to May 12d'
