The City of Georgetown Civil Service Commission met on June 30`h, 2022, at 9:30 a.m. at the City of
Georgetown City Hall — 808 Martin Luther King Jr. St. Georgetown, TX 78626
In attendance were; Commissioners Luis Zamot, & John Philpott; Tadd Phillips, Bert Witcher, & Robyn
Iverson
Call to Order at 9:30 am
Regular Session
(This Regular session may, at any time, be recessed to convene an Executive Session for any purpose
authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code 551).
A. Consideration and possible approval of minutes from May 1211, 2022
a. Motion to approve by Commissioner John Philpott, 2"d Luis Zamot, passed 2-0
B. Consideration and possible action to select a board of three psychologists pursuant to candidate
appeal.
a. Motion to approve a board of three psychologists; Dr. Ballard, Dr. Jordan, & Dr. Carr by
Commissioner John Philpott, 2„ d Luis Zamot, passed 2-0
C. Update to Commission related to Civil Service items by Civil Service Director
a. Discussion on upcoming Fire Department Entry Examination
b. Discussion on upcoming Police Department Entry Examination
c. Discussion on upcoming promotional examinations with the Police Department for
Lieutenant and Captain ranks
d. Discussion on July 21" meeting to certify Fire Entry & Police Entry Eligibility List's
e. Discussion on August 151h meeting to review appeals from the written Police Department
promotional examinations for Lieutenant and Captain ranks
f. Discussion on scheduling a meeting on August 29' or August 301h to certify the Police
Department promotional examination eligibility lists for Lieutenant and Captain ranks
g. Discussion on Fire Meet & Confer process
h. Discussion on Police Department & Fire Department requests for updating Strength of
Force
