The City of Georgetown Civil Service Commission met on July 21", 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the City of
Georgetown City Hall — 808 Martin Luther King Jr. St. Georgetown, TX 78626
In attendance were; Commissioners Gordon Pierce, Luis Zamot, & John Philpott; Tadd Phillips, Cory
Tchida, Bert Witcher, & Robyn Iverson
Call to Order at 10:02 a.m.
Regular Session
(This Regular session may, at any time, be recessed to convene an Executive Session for any purpose
authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code 551).
A. Consideration and possible approval of minutes from June 30, 2022
a. Motion to approve by Commissioner John Philpott, 2nd Luis Zamot, passed 2-1
B. Consideration and possible action to certify the Fire Department Entry Examination Eligibility
List
a. Motion to approve by Commissioner Luis Zamot, 2°d John Philpott, passed 3-0
C. Consideration and possible action to certify the Police Department Entry Examination Eligibility
List
a. Motion to approve by Commissioner John Philpott, 2°d Gordon Pierce, passed 3-0
D. Update to Commission related to Civil Service items by Civil Service Director
a. Discussion on pending psychological appeal in Police Department
b. Discussion on upcoming promotional exams in the Police Department for Captain and
Lieutenant
c. Scheduled Civil Service Commission meeting for August 29' to certify the eligibility
lists for the Police Department Captain promotional exam and the Police Department
Lieutenant promotional exam
d. Discussion on Police Department updating the Strength of Force to Commander rank
from Captain rank
e. Discussion on Appointment of Assistant Chief of Police
f. Discussion on current vacancies in the Police Department and Fire Department
g. Discussion on Meet & Confer updates for the Police Department and Fire Department
