The Main Street Advisory Board met on Friday, August 12, 2022, at 9:00 AM at Georgetown City Hall
Community Room, 808 Martin Luther King Jr. St.

Christine Tomaszewski called the meeting to order at 9:02 AM. Members: Christine Tomaszewski, Michele
Jaroszewski-Webb, Lauren Mendoza, Trisha Tallman, and Jennifer Ridings-Myhra were in attendance.
Absent — Bobby Weisbrod and Rachel Cummins
Staff in attendance: Kim McAuliffe, Interim Economic Development Director, Sharon
Parker, Board Liaison,
Guests in attendance: None
Regular Session

authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code 551.)
A. Call to order at 9:02 a.m.
B. Consideration and possible action regarding approval of the June 17, 2022, board meeting minutes —
Christine Tomaszewski, Board Chair
T. Tallman noted that we should add that Shontel Mays is the new President of the Georgetown
Chamber of Commerce.
Motion by T. Tallman to approve the minutes with the added note of adding the
Georgetown Chamber of Commerce to the Partner update. Second by C. Tomaszewski
Approved: 5-0
C. Update on Downtown Improvement projects, a part of the annual workplan for 2022-2023. The
update will include the Shotgun House, South Main Arts District, and City Center.
Kim gave an update on projects. No action needed.
D. Discussion on Project Teams, Partner updates, and BRE visits
a. Fundraising — working on the ornament design, have submitted photo
b. Blazin Beer Crawl — we raised $20,000.00 this has been our best year so far.
c. Labor Day Sidewalk Sale — 15 businesses have signed up with specials, we will
promote on social media
d. BRE Visits — no visits this month
e. 401h Anniversary — we need to create a subcommittee. Trisha and Christine have
signed up.
f. Volunteer Lunch — Christine will set up for September
E. Staff Report — Kim McAuliffe, Downtown Development Manager

Facade account has a balance of $53,216.00, next year budget should start around
$90,000.00
New developments — Hydrate opened speak easy, R Bank steel in place — this will add 30
thousand square feet for downtown, Black 37 is under HARC review, Austin Ave is having a
corridor study done. Working on Downtown Master Plan. Wayfinding project — we have
narrowed down to two firms and hope to award contract by next Friday.
Motion by T. Tailman to adjourn the meeting. Second by, L. Mendoza . The meeting was
adjourned at 9:52 AM.
