The City of Georgetown Civil Service Commission met on August 9, 2021 at 1 p.m. in person.
In attendance were Commissioners John Philpott, Gordan Pierce, & Luis Zamot; Director Tadd Phillips,
Fire Chief John Sullivan, Assistant Fire Chief Jeff Davis, Division Chief Craig Kreinke, &
Deputy Director Allen Long
Call to Order at 1:13 p.m.
Regular Session
(This Regular session may, at any time, be recessed to convene an Executive Session for any purpose
authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code 551).
A. Consideration and possible approval of minutes from June 16, 2021 meeting.
a. Motion to approve by Commissioner Gordon Pierce, second Commissioner Luis Zamot, 3-0
B. Discussion and possible action on submitted Fire Lieutenant Promotional Examination Appeals.

a. Tadd Phillips announced Police Entry Examination to be held on August 28, 2021.
b. Tadd Phillips announced Civil Service Commission Meeting scheduled for September 2, 2021
at 1:00 p.m.
c. Tadd Phillips announced Fire Captain's Promotional Examination in September.
d. Tadd Phillips announced Civil Service Commission Meeting for hearing appeals submitted in
response to the Fire Captain Promotional Examination and certification of Fire Captain
Eligibility list scheduled for September 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
F. Motion to recess by Commissioner Gordon Pierce, seconded Commissioner Luis Zamot, 3-0

G. Call to Order 3:09 p.m.
H. Motion to approve Fire Lieutenant Eligibility List by Commissioner Gordon Pierce, seconded
by Commissioner Luis Zamot, 3-0.
