RTO for both May and June was lower than preceding months, adding to the strain on kennel space. b. Owner surrenders remained low. Shelter-provided resources may be helping to divert surrenders but staff wonders if non-chipped/non-registered dogs are being dumped rather than being surrendered. There is no way to identify if this is happening. c. Cat intake is trending down while dog intake rose over the past two months. The number of dogs in quarantine was high, with a peak of 7 in May and 8 in June. Kennel space remained an issue, with a dog population as high as 45 and a cat population of 84 in June. d. LRR remains high, over 97% for both months. e. ACO calls increased to 373 and 393 for May and June respectively. f. Presentation of findings of annual veterinarian inspection by Chad Harris, DVM — April Haughey, Animal Services Manager, Board Liaison a. The inspection noted that the floors in the lobby, cat rooms and medical treatment rooms require refinishing and resealing, and the cat cages in the lobby and cat room require replacement. These areas cannot be properly sanitized in their current condition. 3.
