SUBJECT
Approval of $2,500.00 in additional payment to A & D Housemovers related to the moving of
Grace Church.
ITEM SUMMARY
The Council approved a bid to A & D Housemovers in the amount of $27,700.00 to move the
Grace church. In preparing the Church to move, it was decided to lower the steeple to
make the move easier. This cost was $1,500. When the move was being completed, the side
of the Church was discovered to be warped and, at a cost of $1,000.00, the side was
straightened. None of these expenses were related to the original bid, but were needed
to assure the safe move of the Church, and proper alignment on the new foundation.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
It is recommended the payment be made from the Council Contingency Fund of the General
Fund Account (Account #102-62).
