WITEREAS, the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Georgetown, Texas, has made application for as permit to use Lots Nos. 3 and 4, and` part of Lots Nos. 2, 5, 6, and 7 in Block No. 44 to the City of Georgetown, Texas, more particul- arly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, and made as part hereof for all necessary purposes, as a Mobile Home Trailer Park, and , WHEREAS, said application for said special permit was submitted to the City Planning and Zoning Commission, and a public hearing held concerning the same after proper published notice of said hearing, and, !UIERLIS, said above described property is zoned C-2-A, Commercial First"t HeightDistrict, and said City Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended that said application for said permit to use said property as a Mobile Home Trailer Park be approved. NOW TBEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF GEORGETOWN, 11-2. S: That the application of the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Georgetown, Texas, for a permit to use Lots Nos. 3,aho 4, and Pakt 600ts No& 21 540416pd 7 in Block,No. 44 of the City of Georgetown, Texas, more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached -hereto, as a Mobile Home Trailer Park, be and the same is hereby, approved. , That said permit shall expire and become void on the 10th day of August 1973, unless renewed by this body. BE IT ORDAINED 13Y TJIE CITY OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN, TEXAS: WHEREAS, an application has been made to City Council for the purpose of chang- ing the Zoning Ordinance on the following described real estate; All of Lots Nos. 3 and 4, and a part of Lots Nos. 2, 5, 6, and 7, in Block No. 44 as shown on the revised map of the City of Georgetown, dated 1881, recorded in Vol. 26, Page 321, Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the S E corner of said Lot No. 4 and at the S g corner of said Block No. 44; THENCE North with the East lines of Lots 4, 3, and 2 and with the East line of said Block No. 44, 145.2 feet, to a corner post of an old fence at the S E corner of a tract of land conveyed by G. S. Griffith to James Clarkson, by deed dated August 29, 1946, recorded in Vol. 341, Page 5, Deed records, Williamson County, Texas; set an iron pin. THENCE West 120 feet with an old fence line such fence line running about 210 one foot North of a cyclone fence located on the property being hereby conveyed) and with the South line of said Clarkson Lot to an old fence corner post at the S `V corner of said Clarkson Lot; set an iron pin® THENCE South, with said old fence line (the cyclone fence running about parallel with the old fence line and about 1 foot distance last thereof), approximately '16 feet to an old fence corner post; set an iron pin. THENCE East, with the South lines of Lots 5 and 4 and the :youth line of said Block No. 44, 180 feet to the place of,beginnning, and being; a part of the property conveyed by Ben Smith to Griffith Lumber Co® by deed dated January 4, I894, recorded in Vol® 71, Page 431, need Records, 1,'illiamson County, Texas, and a part of the property conveyed by Matilda Smith to C. S. Griffith, by deed dated _, 1911, recorded in Vol,41, Page.31,-Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, and a part of the property conveyed by Sampson Connell, Sheriff to Claude S. Griffith, by Sheriff's Reed dated rsaay 7, 1909, recorded in Vol. 133, Page 150, Deed Records, Williamson County, Texas. SAND WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the City Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendation and report; and IVIMIEAS the City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the changing of said Zoning Ordinance on the hereinabove described property from "ES, Single Family District" to "C-2-A Commercial First IIeight District", which said meeting was held on the 4th day of August, 1970; and WHE11LIS the City Planning and Zoning Commission before approving said proposed change in said zoning ordinance, gave notice of a public hearing on said proposed change by publishing the same one time in the Williamson County Sun, weekly newspaper in the City of Georgetown, Texas, which said notice stated the time and place of such hearing and which time was not earlier than fifteen (15) days from the lst day of such publication; and .11M ' S the C.ty Planning and Zoning; Commission approved the change afore- said in the Zo i gi'Ordinance; said approval being given by said commission on August 4, 170; and WHIMAS, written notices were given to all of the owners of property within 200 feet of the above described property, as required by law; NOW, r11I 1EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, that the Zoning Ordinance, and the Zoning map of the City of Georgetown, be amend- ed so that the property described above, shall be and the same is hereby removed from "IiS, Single Family District" to "C-2-A Commercial First Height District". The enactment of this ordinance being necessary to the immediate preser- vation of publicbusiness and to prod e for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, it is declared to be an emergency measure, which shall have and take effect following its present reading and adoption.
