The Georgetown Main Street Advisory Board met on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 9:00 AM at City Hall,
808 Martin Luther King, Jr Street.

Discussion and possible action on a Main Street Facade & Sign Grant Fund application
request for the property located at 200 E. 8th Street, Suite 101. - Kim Mcauliffe,
Downtown and Tourism Director
Moved by Markus Lindsey; seconded by Jennifer L Ridings-myhra to Approve the sign

grant request for the maximum award amount of $500 contingent on approval of COA..

1.D Facade & Sign Grant Fund Application
Discussion and possible action on a Main Street Sign Grant Fund application request
for the property located at 712 S. Austin Avenue. - Kim Mcauliffe, Downtown and
Tourism Director
Moved by Markus Lindsey; seconded by Lauren A Mendoza to Approve the facade and
sign grant request for the maximum award amount total $1,837.50 contingent on
approval of COA..

1.E Austin Avenue Pedestrian Bridges and Austin Avenue Corridor Study Updates
Update on the Austin Avenue Pedestrian Bridges and the Austin Avenue Corridor Study
- Lua Saluone, Transportation Manager and Nathaniel Waggoner, Transportation
Coordinator
Staff presented and discussed the Austin Avenue Pedestrian Bridges and Austin Avenue
Corridor Study. Future community outreach will include a survey and a booth at the Art Stroll
and Breakfast Bites.
1.F Project Team & Partner Updates
Discussion on Project Teams, Partner updates, and BRE Visits - Kim Mcauliffe,
Downtown and Tourism Director
Update on the Annual Christmas Ornament - photos have been taken and Cesar
took some drone shots as well. Once the design has been completed better
pricing will be available.
Coffee & Cocoa Crawl - this event will be the same weekend as Small Business
Saturday. Tickets go on sale on 10/1/2023 and will be $20.
. Breakfast Bites - first event will be on 9/19/2023 at Georgetown Public Library.

1.G Staff Report
Staff Report - Kim McAuliffe, Downtown and Tourism Director
Facade Grant Awarded $275 for a sign last year, there are some pending awards
yet to be distributed. After recorded breaking fundraising should leave a healthy
balance heading into the new year.
New Business Updates - Williamson County Art Guild, Grumpy George and La Riv
will be opening soon. Juliet's Italian Kitchen has had some delays and may
possibly open at the beginning of next year.
Arts & Culture will be moving to the Art Center in a more operational role. Working
on a partnership with Georgetown Artworks to continue to maintain the exhibit
programing & classes.
