The Georgetown Main Street Advisory Board met on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 9:00 AM at City Hall,
808 Martin Luther King, Jr Street.

1.0 Project Team & Partner Updates
Discussion on Project Teams, Partner updates, and BRE Visits - Kim McAuliffe,
Downtown and Tourism Director
Kim gave an update on the Annual Christmas Ornament and is hoping to have
the artwork back for review soon.
Sharon gave an update on the upcoming events:
o Coffee and Cocoa Crawl will be run in conjunction with Small Business
Saturday on November 25th from 10am to 2pm.
• Georgetown Swirl Commitee is meeting to discuss possible changes to
next year's event. The theme will be Golden Girls in celebration of its 14th
year.
• October is the Month of the Arts and there will be several events to celebrate.
a Autumn Art Stroll on October 19th from 4pm - 8pm
• Haunted Art Night on October 20th from 6pm - 9pm
• South Main Arts Festival on October 21 st from 9am to 6pm

• Other events happening in the month of October are:
• Georgetown Pride on October 26th 6:30pm to 9:30pm
• Boo Bash on October 29th from 1 pm - 4pm
• Upcoming for November and December:
o Jingle and Mingle
• Lighting of the Square
• November Market Days
o Christmas Stroll
• Preservation Georgetown is continuing their 1st Friday Event at Grace Heritage.
• The City Center project will break ground after the 1 st of the year as they continue
moving forward in the planning process.
1.D Staff Report
Staff Report - Kim McAuliffe, Downtown and Tourism Director
• Artisians Connect will be closing its doors, its last day will be October 22nd.
• Kim gave an update on the Downtown Master Plan.
o Open House will be in the Georgetown Library from 4pm - 7pm on October
19th.
o The options to enhance the pedestrian realm around the square were
previewed and discussed, feedback will be collected and presented to the
City Council
o The next Work Session with the City Council will be the 2nd Tuesday in
November in the City Hall Community Room. Parking, height and density,
9th Street development and Blue Hole Park will be discussed.
