A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS, PURSUANT TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF GEORGETOWN,
TEXAS, RECOMMENDING INITIATION OF AN EXECUTIVE
AMENDMENT OF CHAPTERS 3, 5, 12, AND 16 OF THE GEORGETOWN
UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT CODE; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND
PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, on March 11, 2003, the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas,
adopted a set of comprehensive development regulations known as the Unified Development
Code ("UDC') via Ordinance No. 2003-16, which codified various zoning and subdivision
standards; and
WHEREAS, on December 12, 2023, the City Council of Georgetown approved
Ordinance No. _ amending the Comprehensive Plan and adopting the Future
Mobility Plan, referred to as the functional transportation plan within the City Charter; and
WHEREAS, the adoption of Future Mobility Plan necessitates changes to the
development standards included in the City's Unified Development Code;
WHEREAS, the City Council established a Unified Development Code Advisory
Committee on November 12, 2013, to review proposed or requested amendments to the UDC
other than executive amendments, which are those amendments that are nondiscretionary,
mandatory, or legislative revisions to address state statutes or case laws, ratify published
directors determinations, incorporate recently approved Council ordinances, process City
Council designated emergency items, or address revisions otherwise determined necessary by
legal counsel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby
found and declared to be true and correct, and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly
made a part hereof, as if copied verbatim. The City Council hereby finds that this resolution
implements the City of Georgetown 2030 Comprehensive Plan.
SECTION 2: The City Council finds that revisions to UDC Chapters 3, 5, 12 and 16 are
nondiscretionary, mandatory, or legislative in nature pursuant to UDC Section 3.05.030.A as this
amendment is necessary to incorporate recently approved Council ordinances.

SECTION 3: City Council hereby designates amendments to the UDC relating to Chapter 3
Applications and Permits, Chapter 5 Commercial Use Limitations and Chapter 12 Pedestrian and
Vehicle Circulation and Chapter 16 Definitions in order to incorporate the recently approved City
Council ordinance adopting the Future Mobility Plan.
SECTION 4: The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the City Secretary to attest this
Resolution.
SECTION 5: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
