Be it ordained by the City ,ouncil of the City of Georgetown, Tex-
as:
1st. That it is hereby ordered that v.ithin sixty days from and
after the mailing of notices to the last known address, that each pro-
perty oviner to v,hor.,i a notice is so mailed shall build and extend the
sidet,alk that is novi in front of his property so that the same shall
come to the curb of the intersecting street or streets, the said exten-
sions to be made of the vaidth and length set out ht;rein, and the man-
ner set out hL rein and in the o-rdinLinces herein referred to. That in
the event that the ;;aid property olvners shall fail to so construct the
said extensions of said sidewalks i.n front of their respective proper-
ties; then in that event the City shall construct the seine, by <nd thru
the Street :;onmissioner of the said ;ity, or by and thru contracts made
by him therefor, as to him may seem best; and for the said purpose the
said IStreet Commissioner is fully empovered to make contracts for the
construction of the said extensions. That in the event that the said
property ovvner shall fail to construct the said extension, or exten-
sions to the s idev,alk in l ront of his property, and the City shall con-
struct the .;ame , in �_ny of the ri_anners herein provided, or that are pro-
vided in the' ordinances herein referred to, then in that event the said
several property oti:ners shall each be liable and bound to the said City
for the cost and expense of constructing the extk nti,ion or extensions to
the sidei,,alk that is now in front of the several properties of each; and
that the said City shall have and hold a first lien on &md a&g,inst each
piece of property for the cost and expense of making the said extension
or extensions to the sideti'alk that is note in front of the said piece of
property. That the said extensions shell be made in accordMce with the
terms and conditions of an ordinance passed and approved on the llth day
of December, 1905, and an amendment thereto passed and approved on the
9th day of May, 1921; in so far Ls the provisions of the said ordinances
are not in conflict herewith.
2nd. That the Streets on which extensions u.re to be made, and the
property bordering on the said streets, the sidewalks of and in front of
v..,hich are to be extended hereunder, and the length and v)idth of that
part is to be so extended from the end of the sidewalk as it now exists
out to the curb; and the names of the owners of the property whose side-

between this and any other ordinance, this ordinance shall prevail,.
