A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GEORGETOWN, TEXAS AMENDING THE BUILDING
PERMITS AND INSPECTIONS FEE SCHEDULE TO INLCUDE
LIMITED EXEMPTIONS FOR THE CITY'S HOME REPAIR
PROGRAM PROJECTS.
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City of Georgetown, Texas (the "City") to protect the public
health, safety, and welfare;
WHEREAS, the City established a Home Repair Program in 2008 to provide home repairs,
including exterior upgrades, weatherization, energy efficiency, accessibility, and safety improvements, to
homeowners who are residents of the City and have limited resources;
WHEREAS, the City desires to protect the public health, safety, and welfare by exempting
projects completed pursuant to the City's Home Repair Program from certain permit fees;
WHEREAS, the City the Building Permit and Inspections Fee Schedule contains certain permit
fees adopted in accordance to UDC Section 3.02.020.13; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it would be in the best interest of the
community to amend the Building Permits and Inspections Fee Schedule in order to exempt projects
completed pursuant to the City's Home Repair Program from certain fees;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1. The facts and recitations contained in the preamble of this resolution are hereby found
and declared to be true and correct and are incorporated by reference herein and expressly made a part
hereof, as if copied verbatim.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby adopts Building Permits and Inspections Fee Schedule, as
amended, attached as Exhibit A.
SECTION 4. If any provision of this Resolution or application thereof to any person or circumstance, shall
be held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the other provisions, or application thereof, of this Resolution
which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this
Resolution are hereby declared to be severable.
SECTION 3. The Mayor is hereby authorized to sign this Resolution and the City Secretary to attest.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall become effective upon its adoption.

Plan Review Fees
For all plans of new residential buildings, no more than two stories high and four living units, no fees will be charged. For Residential buildings
three stories in height and more than four living units, the plans review fee shall be one-half of the building permit fee payable at the time of
issuance of the building permit.
For all plans of new commercial buildings, as classified by the building code as commercial occupancy types and remodels, additions or
alterations, the plan review fee shall be one-half of the total building permit fee, plus a Fire Services review fee which is determined by fire
department.
All other buildings, including residential structures and more than four stories high, commercial building three stories and higher, schools and
all other buildings are subject to forwarding to the International Code Council, Inc. (ICC), for plans review at the discretion of the Building
Official. For those plans forwarded to ICC for review, the fees as determined by ICC at the time of submittal, shall be paid directly to ICC by
the applicant and be nonrefundable.

CITY OF GEORGETOWN WATER AND WASTEWATER IMPACT FEES
PER CITY ORDINANCE CHAPTER 13.32 WATER AND WASTEATER IMPACT FEES:
Sec. 13.32.070. - Assessment of impact fees:
A. The approval of any subdivision of land or of any new development within the impact fee service area shall include as a condition of development the
assessment of the impact fee applicable to such development.
B. Assessment of the water and wastewater impact fees for any new development shall be made as follows:
1. For a development which is submitted for approval pursuant to the City's subdivision regulations following the effective date of the ordinance
codified in this chapter, assessment shall be at the time a preliminary plat is approved by City Council and shall be in the amount of the assessed
fee per service unit then in effect as set forth in Exhibit B, attached to the ordinance codified in this chapter, on record in the office of the City
Secretary, except as provided in subsections B.2., 3., and 4. of this section;
2. For a development for which no plat is required or issued, assessment shall occur at the time of building permit application. For development for
which no building permit is issued, assessment shall be at the time of utility connect permit application;
3. For a development for which a preliminary plat was approved, but which has expired, assessment shall occur at the time a new preliminary plat
approval is sought;
4. For septic tank cutovers, assessment shall be at the time of utility connect permit application.
C. Following assessment of the impact fee hereunder, the amount of the impact fee per service unit may not be increased above the assessed fee unless
the owner redevelops or seeks approval of new plan required as a result of an approved development plan expiration.
D. An application for an amended plat made pursuant to Texas Local Government Code Section 212.016 (Vernon) or the City's subdivision rules is not
subject to a reassessment of the impact fee.

*Note: Use of 5/8" meter for limited application to small residential units (<1,200 square feet of air conditioned/heated space) where no automatic landscape
irrigation system will be installed. Other potential applications are public facilities such as restrooms in parks.
