The City Council met in Balled session on the above date, the
Following aldermen being present: Weld Buchholz, J. R. Chas-
tain, J. C. Godbey, C. C. Hamilton, and S. E. Wilcox. In the
Absence of Mayor Smith, Mayor Protem J. C. Godbey preseided.
Also there were several citizens of Georgetown present. Mr.
Ed Harris, chairman of the committee from the Chamber of Commerce
reported, that his committee was ready to serve with a com--
mittee from the city council in the interests of the proposed
airpoXrt
A motion was made by Alderman Buchholz which was seconded by
Alderman Wilcox sa4uesting that Mayor pro tem Godbey appoint
a committee to include -himself to make further survey of suitable
locations for the proposed air p ort at jcnee-and repast`back to
the Council at "it"s meeting Augiisit 11th. The motion carried.
The following weremappQinted. From the City Council, Alderman
C. C. Hamilton, chairman a*d J. C. 'Godbey.`Those of the Chamber of
Commerce and Junior Chambe"r of Commerce were Marvin'Behrens,
Ed Harris, I. J. McCook, of Southwestern TTniversity, and
Postmaster John. M. Sharpe.
There appearing no further official business the Council
adjourned.
