HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 04.11.1966 - REZ R-1 to R-2491 forth.An amendment to the ordinance of the City of Georgetown, Texas, amending the Zoning Ordinance which went into effect on September 21, 1961,, amending the Zoning District Map and making this amendment a part of the map of the original ordinance; to change the hereinafter described property located in Block 3 of the Snyder Addition to the City of Georgetown, Texas, from "R�ml," One Family Dwelling District to "R�2,11 Duplex and Apartment District, as here~ inafter set Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Georgetown, Texas; WHEREAS an application has been made to the City Council for the purpose of changing the Zoning Ordinance on the following described real estate; All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the City of Georgetown, Texas, described as follows: BEING part of Block 3 of the Snyder Addition to the City of Georgetown, Texas, BEGINNING at a point in the S. line of said Block, 72 ft. Wiest of the S.E. Corner thereof; THENCE North., parallel with the East line of said Block, 84 feet; THENCE East, parallel with the South line of said Block, 72 feet$ THENCE North with the East line of said Block, 66 feet; THENCE West, parallel with the South lime of said Block, 82g feet; THENCE South, parallel with the East line of said Blocks 30 feet; THENCE West, parallel with the South line of Said Block, 17= feet; THENCE South, parallel with the last line of said Block, 120 feet; THENCE East, with the South line of said Block, 28 feet to the place of beginning, and being part of the property described in a deed from L. M. Keeling, et al, to henry E. Meyer, dated May 3, 1930, recorded in Vol. 251, rage 564, heed Records of Williamson County, Texas; AND WHEREAS, the City Council has submitted the proposed change in the Zoning Ordinance to the City Planning Commission for its re"com11mendation and report; and �p WHEREAS, the City* Planning Commission lista approved the changing of said } Zoning Ordinance on, the above-described property from One -Family Dwelling District to "R�2,"f Duplex and Apartment District, which said meeting was held on March 15, 1966; and VdIE11ES, the City Council, before adopting this amendment to the Zoning Ordinance, gage notice of such hearing by publishing the same three times in the Williamson County Sun, a weekly newspaper in the City of Georgetown, Texas, which said notice stated the time and place of such hearing and which time was not earlier than 15 days from the first day of such publication; and WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission approved the change aforesaid in the Zoning Ordinance, and no protest was entered against the proposed change; and WHERE&S, written notices were given to all =of the owners of lots within 492 200 feet of the above- described property as required by law, 'gad no Protest having been filed by any of the property owners within 200 fe t of saaidproperty; NOW THEREFORE, be •r by the City Councilat that the Zoning Ordinance, and the Zoning Map of the City of amended so that the property described above shall be and th(; removed from a One�Famlly Dwelling District, to ##R�211, ment District, The enactment of this ordinance beingY. the of public business and to provide for the usual daily oper department, declared # be an emergency effect following its present reading and adoption.
