The City of Georgetown is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
If you require assistance in participating at a public meeting due to a disability, as defined under the
ADA, reasonable assistance, adaptations, or accommodations will be provided upon request. Please
contact the City at least four (4) days prior to the scheduled meeting date, at (512) 930-3652 or City
Hall at 113 East 8th Street for additional information; TTY users route through Relay Texas at 711.

A Call to Order
The Board may, at any time, recess the Regular Session to convene in Executive Session at the
request of the Chair, a Board Member, the City Manager, Assistant City Manager, General
Manager of Utilities, City Council Member, or legal counsel for any purpose authorized by the
Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551, and are subject to action in the
Regular Session that follows.

Discussion of library needs as they relate to access and effective communication- Eric Lashley,
Library Services Director and Nat Waggoner, PMP® ,Transportation Analyst
ITEM SUMMARY:
During the December 2015 ADA Advisory Board meeting, the Board established a work plan for
the review and update of the Transition Plan. During the month of January, the Board will review
Effective Communication requirements under Title II and the City’s policies and procedures as
described in the adopted Transition Plan. Eric Lashley will provide the Board with general
understanding of the Library’s access needs.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Results of the February discussion will be included in the FY 16 revisions to the City’s Transition
Plan.

ITEM SUMMARY:
During the December 2015 ADA Advisory Board meeting, the Board established a work plan for
the review and update of the Transition Plan. During the month of January, the Board will review
facility and programming access requirements under Title II and the City’s policies and procedures
as described in the adopted Transition Plan. Eric Nuner provide an update to work completed as
part of the FY 15 Plan and scheduled for FY16.

Results of the February discussion will be included in the FY 16 revisions to the City’s Transition
Plan.

During the December 2015 ADA Advisory Board meeting, the Board established a work plan for
the review and update of the Transition Plan. The Board will review Emergency Management
requirements under Title II and the City’s policies and procedures as described in the adopted
Transition Plan.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Each board member will provide summarized findings for discussion. Those findings will be
presented to the Emergency Management staff (Fire and Police) during the February regular
meeting. Results of the February discussion will be included in the FY 16 revisions to the City’s
Transition Plan.

Waggoner reviewed/explained the item to the board members. Several questions

Waggoner discussed what is in the charter and what the responsibilities of the
Board members are.

Minutes have been corrected.
Motion by Risco seconded by Jennings to approve the minutes as corrected.
