The Georgetown Electric Utility Advisory Board met on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 4:00 PM at Georgetown
Municipal Complex, Williamson Room, 300 Industrial Ave.

Consideration and approval of the June 15th, 2023 minutes -- Krisen Lowry, Board

1.E General Manager's Monthly Report
Discussion regarding the General Manager's Monthly Report -- Kress Carson; Electric
Utility Analyst
Kress Carson opened with General Manager's Monthly report.
Cherie Hernandez presented the Customer Service and Billing Electric Services report
including Customer statistics, Customer Billing statistics, Billed Revenue for FY 2023,
Aged Receivable Report, and Collection Agency Review.
Mike Westbrook presented the Electric Operations Report and discussed the
performance metrics and the Top 5 outage events of the month of June.
Danny Potter presented the Electric Safety and Training Report and discussed Summer
Initiatives for heat stress prevention. The Safety Metrics. And Monthly Employee
Development.
Krisen Lowry presented a reminder update about the Texas Open Meetings Act and
what could be defined as a violation and how to prevent it.
Krisen Lowry presented an update on Board Member terms. Robert Case and Benjamin
Butler's terms are ending and needed to reapply before the end of July. It was also
noted that Sam Jones and Rick Woodruff's final terms will be ending next September
and will not be eligible to reapply. Krisen also gave a brief rundown of next steps for
future meetings.
Kress Carson presented FY 2023 Budget Review. He briefly discussed the different cost
centers factoring into the budget; leadership overview; the proposed FY 24 budget;
operating expense overview; and service level requests overview.
2. Executive Session
In compliance with the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, Vernon's Codes,
Annotated, the items listed below will be discussed in closed session and are subject to action in the regular
session.
