The City of Georgetown Civil Service Commission met on May 12th, 2022, at 8:30 a.m. at the City of
Georgetown Fire Station 6 – 6700 Williams Dr. Georgetown, TX 78633
In attendance were; Commissioners Gordon Pierce, Luis Zamot, & John Philpott; Tadd Phillips, Roland
Waits, Robyn Iverson
Call to Order at 8:30 am
Regular Session
(This Regular session may, at any time, be recessed to convene an Executive Session for any purpose
authorized by the Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code 551).
A. Consideration and possible approval of minutes from April 25th, 2022
a. Motion to approve by Commissioner John Philpott, 2nd Luis Zamot, passed 3-0
B. Consideration and possible action to certify the Police Department Sergeant Promotional
Examination Eligibility List
a. Motion to approve by Commissioner John Philpott, 2nd Luis Zamot, passed 3-0
C. Update to Commission related to Civil Service items by Civil Service Director
a. Discussion on current vacancies in the Police Department
b. Discussion on upcoming Fire Department Entry Examination
c. Discussion on upcoming promotional examinations with the Police Department for
Lieutenant and Captain ranks
d. Discussion on scheduling July 21st meeting to certify Fire Entry Eligibility List
e. Discussion on scheduling August 15th meeting to review appeals from the written Police
Department promotional examinations for Lieutenant and Captain ranks
