Austin Ave Georgetown, Texas 78626 MINUTES A. Call to Order Board Chair Thomas Janes called the meeting to order at 6:38pm. B. Roll Call Board Members in Attendance: Thomas Janes: Chair, Carly Cash, Nick Ganski, Aaron Gonzalez, Alvin Gusman, Scarlet Hobbs, Devione Lewis , Hannah Pierce, Kathrine Massey C. Introduction of new Youth Advisory Board members - Arica Keilers, Youth Program Coordinator Members took time prior to the start of the meeting to introduce themselves and to get to know each other. D. Overview of the Youth Advisory Board; roster and terms, attendance policy, meeting procedures, bylaws, projects and purpose statement - Arica Keilers, Youth Program Coordinator Board members reviewed the roster and terms, attendance policy, meeting procedures, bylaws, projects and purpose statement. Members also reviewed the calendar of events for the year. E. Discussion of Monthly information on website. - Arica Keilers, Youth Program Coordinator Carly, Alvin, and Devione agreed to get information pertaining to tips to manage stress, ways to be active and testing tips to Arica for the website. F. Update on the City Transit Plan - Arica Keilers, Youth Program Coordinator Members pulled up the transit plan outline online and we discussed what the route would look like in Georgetown. Discussion and possible action to approve the minutes form the December 12, 2016, January 9, 2017 and February 6, 2017 Youth Advisory Board meeting Motion to approve the minutes was made by Hannah Pierce and seconded by Devione Lewis. Consideration and possible action to elect the Secretary of the Youth Advisory Board - Arica Keilers, Youth Program Coordinator Motion to elect Nick Ganski for secretary was made by Hannah Pierce and seconded by Devione Lewis. Motion was approved 9-0-0. I. Consideration and possible action to elect the Vice-Chair of the Youth Advisory Board - Arica Keilers, Youth Program Coordinator Motion to elect Devione Lewis as Vice-Chair was made by Hannah Pierce and seconded by Alvin Gusman. Motion was approved 9-0-0. J. Consideration and possible action to set date and time for the 2017 Youth Advisory Board meetings - Arica Keilers, Youth Program Coordinator Motion to keep the meetings on the first Monday of every month at 6:30pm in Teen 2 was made by Alvin Gusman and seconded by Devione Lewis.
