Susie Flatau Called the meeting to order at 4:31 p.m.
B. Introduction of new board members Stacy Reed and Rachel Hancock - Susie Flatau, Board Chair
C. Discussion and possible action to elect a Vice-Chair and Secretary to the Arts and Culture Board –
Susie Flatau, Board Chair
Motion by David Valdez nominate himself as Vice Chair, second by Karen Turpin , Motion by
David Valdez to nominate Sonja Robinson as Secretary, second by Norma Clark. Approved 7-0 .
D. Review of the Arts and Culture Board bylaws– Susie Flatau, Board Chair
No action needed.
E. Review of the City Council’s Boards and Commissions Attendance Policy– Susie Flatau, Board Chair
No action needed.

G. Announcements regarding Arts & Culture– Susie Flatau, Board Chair
Norma – Applies for a group exhibit
Sonya – SW is out on spring break but will be back next week and still a few more music and play
productions before the end of the year.
David – March 19th Photography festival on the square.
Karen – New season will be coming out soon for the Palace
Susie – Full circle Thursday night – Featuring David Valdez
H. Consideration and possible action to approve minutes from the February 15, 2022 Arts and Culture
Board meeting – Susie Kelly Flatau, Board Chair.
Motion by Karen Turpin to approve the minutes as presented, second by David Valdez
Approved 7-0 .
I. Consideration and possible action to recommend to the Parks Department the top five artist
submissions to the Call for Artist Entries at Heritage Community Gardens– Amanda Still, Arts &
Culture Coordinator.
Discussion: Amanda presented the top 5 submissions by scoring criteria.
Motion by Sonja Robinson to recommend to the Parks Department the top five artist submissions
as presented by staff, second by Stacy Reed Approved 7-0 .
J. Consideration and possible action to approve the artist invitation for City Hall Gallery during the
October – December 2022 exhibit.– Amanda Still, Arts & Culture Coordinator.
Discussion: Board Chair Susie Flatau recused herself during this item because she is the artist being
considered.
Motion by Rachel Hancock to approve the artist invitation for City Hall Gallery as presented by
staff, second by Stacy Reed Approved 6-0 .
K. Consideration and possible action to approve the recommendations from the Events Subcommittee
for artist booth exhibitors at the Georgetown Spring Art Stroll– Amanda Still, Arts & Culture
Coordinator.
Discussion: The board reviewed two submissions to fill the number five booth spot.
Motion by Karen Turpin to Virginia Headley exhibit for the artist booth exhibitors at the
Georgetown Spring Art Stroll, second by Stacy Reed Approved 7-0 .

Susie Flatau Called the meeting to order at 10:13 a.m.
B. Welcome and Overview
Board members and staff introduced themselves and gave a brief description of their position. They also
discussed what they are looking forward to learning at the retreat.
C. Discussion and possible action on the Economic Development: Downtown Development & arts &
Culture One-Year Workp0lan
Staff and Board members reviewed the departments missions and discussed the Department goals.
The Arts & Culture Advisory Board and the Main Street Advisory Board went into their separate advisory
board groups at 11:30am.

Culture Coordinator.
Motion by Stacy Reed to approve the updated Call for Entries for the Annual Georgetown
Sculpture Tour as presented by staff, second by David Valdez Approved 5-0 .
Motion by Sonya Robinson to adjourn the meeting. Second by David Valdez . The meeting
was adjourned at 12:16 PM.
