The Arts & Culture Advisory Board met on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 4:30 PM at Georgetown City Hall

A. Call to order – Susie Flatau, Board Chair
Susie Flatau Called the meeting to order at 4:33 p.m.
B. Citizens wishing to address the board – Susie Flatau, Board Chair
None present.
C. Announcements regarding Arts & Culture– Susie Flatau, Board Chair
Norma – Art on display at Peoples Gallery in Austin, will be there for 2 years.
Sonya – SW is out for summer.
Karen – Cabaret will open at the Palace
David – Speaker at the George Bush library. Serve on the Board of Directors for the Williamson County
Museum.
Susie – taking a break from full circle for the summer, will start back up in September.
Stacey – Elected to the Preservation Georgetown Board.
D. Consideration and possible action to approve minutes from the March 15, 2022 Arts and Culture
Board meeting – Susie Kelly Flatau, Board Chair.

Motion by Sonja Robinson to approve the minutes as presented, second by David
Valdez Approved 6-0 .
E. Consideration and possible action to approve minutes from the May 12, 2022 Arts and Culture Board
meeting – Susie Kelly Flatau, Board Chair.
Motion by Karen Turpin to approve the minutes as presented, second by Stacey Reed
Approved 6-0 .
F. Discussion regarding the updated workplan created at the annual retreat in May – Amanda Still, Arts
& Culture Coordinator.
Discussion: Amanda presented the plan and reviewed the items that the board members signed up for
and the items that the staff will maintain.
No action needed.
G. Consideration and possible action to approve the City Hall Gallery arts to exhibit January – March
2023.– Amanda Still, Arts & Culture Coordinator.
Discussion: would like to tie the 175th Birthday in this display.
Motion by Karen Turpin to approve the artist invitation for City Hall Gallery as presented by
staff, second by Sonya Robinson Approved 6-0 .
H. Presentation of Arts & Culture Coordinator report – Amanda Still, Arts & Culture Coordinator
• Public Art Program
o Completed Projects – GISD Mural, Crosswalk Mural, Cistern at Heritage Community
Garden.
• Cultural District Programming
o Georgetown Spring Art Stroll, Arts District broke ground, Brown Bag
• Future Meeting Timeline
o July Award Arts and Culture Grants
o August Select sculptures for Sculpture Tour
o September Approve artist booth selections
o October meeting cancelled due to Art Stroll Festival.
Adjourn: Motion by David Valdez to adjourn the meeting. Second by Stacey Reed . The
meeting was adjourned at 5:00 PM
