Call to order – Susie Flatau, Board Chair Susie Flatau Called the meeting to order at 4:32 p.m. B. Citizens wishing to address the board – Susie Flatau, Board Chair None present. C. Announcements regarding Arts & Culture– Susie Flatau, Board Chair Jess – Flash Mob, GISD Calendar – Amanda post highlights on website David - Barrels and Amps August 24th, GT Texas photography festival – team walked the square and met with business owners. Susie – full circle will be held on September 16th from 6-7 p.m. Karen – September 7th education classes start. New performance starting in October. Norma – exhibiters group will be speaking to the classes. Sonya – New students have moved in, Theater season beings 27th. there will be limit on attendance. D. Consideration and possible action to approve minutes from the July 20, 2021 Arts and Culture Board meeting – Susie Kelly Flatau, Board Chair. E. Consideration of Sculpture Tour Submissions and Evaluations from Parks & Recreations – Amanda Still, Arts & Culture Coordinator Board and staff reviewed submissions and evaluations. No action F. Consideration and possible action to approve the design for the mural at One Love Tattoos – Amanda Still, Arts & Culture Coordinator Board and staff reviewed the submission, there is a concern of copy right issue with the title. Motion by David Valdez to postpone this item until the business and artist can revise, second by Norma Approved 6-0 Marissa absent . G. Presentation of Arts & Culture Coordinator report – Amanda Still, Arts & Culture Coordinator • Public art Program • Completed Projects – Georgetown Oak • Projects in Progress – Expansion of Traditions to the Future, business owner did not accept the proposed art and has submitted a new proposal. Board would like for Amanda to talk with Business owner again and see if they can work together to revise. • Cultural District Programming – Quarterly Brown Bag Luncheons, Georgetown Autumn Art Stroll • Event Subcommittee Report – event will be October 21st 4-8 pm. Would like for Board members to volunteer for at least 1 hour each. Adjourn: Motion by David Valdez to adjourn the meeting. Second by Norma Clark .
